Mass Test on Singularity - Friday 27 June through to Monday the 30th

o7

Singularity will be online this weekend, to test out the changes for the Global PLEX Market, which you can read more about here!

Singularity is scheduled to go online at 16:00 UTC today, 27 June until 11:00 UTC on 30 June.

What exactly is being tested?

For most mass tests we try to have people concentrated around a certain time to strain the server. This test is a more of an individual mass test, we’re looking to gather more data for trades on the market.

  • Non-PLEX items
    • Create, modify, and cancel orders
    • Buy and Sell orders
  • PLEX
    • Create, modify, and cancel orders
      • Orders with a variety of length, price, range
      • In station or structures
      • Known space and wormhole space
    • Buy and sell PLEX orders
      • In the same region
      • In a different region

PLEX (and large skill injectors) will be seeded on Singularity, and you can use the /moveme command to move between systems and regions.

How to connect to Singularity for this test:

  • Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the bottom right corner of the launcher and log in as normal.
  • More detailed instructions are available here.

Test server rules still apply, which can be found here: https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/13172315768860-Test-Server-Rules

While we are looking to test the market, you are certainly able to test other things as well while on Singularity - we just ask that while you’re there, you buy and sell some PLEX too.

OMFG don’t do this.

So basically, no-one will use any other markets apart from the Peri 0% market?

I thought the whole point IS that there are these nice little markets around with varying prices? Buy something low somewhere and sell it higher somewhere else. Buy something you NEED, like PLEX for a higher price.

If you want to stop people getting rich by doing this then change tax rates. I think CCP is just scared of capitalism.

contract with plex and 0 tax will be tested?

  • Introducing soulbound MCT to reduce hoarding and speculation
I don’t get it, can you elaborate ?

Hi, from my testing of the “Buy and sell PLEX orders” part.
I see a miss with the Buy Plex with “Use corp account {wallet name}” checked. Not sure how it is should work, but in my case it was not delivered to my current station or my plex vault.
Thank you

corp ISK, make items appear in deliveries hangar, usually

check in corporation assets in Deliveries tab

I just tested, PLEX went to “Corporation Deliveries” hangar as expected

So one thing to note, whilst the global orders seem to be working, brokers fees still apply and are still dependent on your location, skills and standings. Meaning your current location will still affect the cost to list on this new global market, AND player owned minimum-fee markets are still cheaper to use…

Location and standings based listing tax and fees won’t change for now

It’s mentioned in dev blog, so works as expected. At least for now.

Thats a past change, that was changed to soulbound so as to not trade mcts and the char that purchases it, uses it

Location and standings based listing tax and fees won’t change for now

What’s the point of this if you want to remove friction? Standings would still matter, and you’d still have to go to the places with the highest standing to pay the lowest taxes, or to structures. This is really weird.

Make sure you take a snapshot of the market before you remove all PLEX orders and after the change, so that you can show how market region values changed based on the PLEX.

  1. Buy orders don’t work correctly.
  2. What happens if someone starts spamming orders?

This thing is not a good idea.

  • This is only for PLEX.

  • Already on TQ (not new at all), PLEX can be acquired from anywhere (because contracts) and you don’t need to go and pick up your PLEX at the distant station. It is deposited directly in your wallet PLEX vault. So if you are a high sec pilot and the best price in your region is in a low-sec system, you’d be fool not to buy it from that low-sec station.

  • This mean that every single system in the game is a market hub for PLEX. No “Jita is the place to go”, since you can be anywhere to buy or sell your PLEX. Sure, you can travel to Hek or Doddixie for your PLEX if you so wish.

I tested one more time with “Use corp account {wallet name}” checked,

Tow cases:

Case 1:
If sell order on the same station with buyer: - pass

  1. Seller create sell order on Station 1
  2. Buyer buy on Station 1
Actual: Plex in Corporate Delivery of Station 1
Expected: Plex in Corporate Delivery of Station 1

Case 2:
If sell order on the different station with buyer: - Not pass

  1. Seller create sell order on Station 1
  2. Buyer buy on Station 2
Actual: Plex in Corporate Delivery of Station 1
Expected: Plex in Corporate Delivery of Station 2

Meaning in Case 2, If I will try to buy with “Use corp account {wallet name}” checked it potentially goes to anywhere in the world to corp delivery, potentially to the station in null sec/wormhole where I’m may not be capable to dock. This can be observed from the Corporation > Asset > Delivery.

Case 2:
If sell order on the different station with buyer: - Not pass

  1. Seller create sell order on Station 1
  2. Buyer buy on Station 2
Actual: Plex in Corporate Delivery of Station 1
Expected: Plex in Corporate Delivery of Station 2

You should log a bug ticket under F12 for this issue.

I have no idea what the fix would be but I expect PLEX purchases to always be accessible.

I’ve moved around between regions and set up Buy and Sell order. I’ve found that the Buy Order list is updated globally, but not recognized when selling PLEX directly to Buy when set up in another region. For instance, I set up a Buy order in Jita, then hopped to Thera and tried to sell against the highest Buy order. Although my Buy order was highest on the list in the Market window, the Sell window picked the second highest Buy order, as if my higher order wasn’t there. Even when I adjusted the sell price to match my own Buy order, it wouldn’t go through.
Then when I hopped to FD-MLJ and tried to sell directly, it didn’t match any price at all, instead defaulting to 999 ISK. Yet my own Buy order was still topping the list.
