Meaning of (R.I.P)

Tonight I was looking though is old eve online mails and one of character had(R.I.P) at end of his name.

So I ask what does that mean

I’ve never seen that before, but my guess is that, maybe its a thing that tells you that that charecter has been biomassed.

It shows up when a character biomassed.

I never seen that. Was gonna thought mi old mail was in my trash bin. At time was trying to remember what was doing with character. When saw that.

Biomassed meaning permanently dead, right?

Biomassed means you pressed the Delete button for that character at the character selection screen, waited the 10 hour “are you sure?” period, pressed the Delete button again, and listened to the scream when the machinery shredded that character.

You can get it back if you create a support ticket, but have patience as it may be a lower priority ticket.
