The point of Smigor is that you can start in t5 or t4 to make your money back before you risk your fit in t6.
LOL. Cavet emptor and all that friend.
Uh no one told you to waste time on the test server so long ROFL.
Is that a Marshal hitting naPasik from behind?
I am not nearly as experienced as you with regards to the Abyss, but what you have written rings true with my experiences.
I run T3 and T4 in a Gila. I can run these fine normally but every now and then I hit a brick wall and I run out of time or I’m destroyed. I don’t use cheap fits.
My strategy for this is to spend even more ISK on parts and implants and using a Gila fitting that’s fine for T5 (I’ve never had the courage to try a T5)
What I’m hoping is that I’ll do fine with 99% of the rooms in a T4, then when I hit this brick wall again I’ll be able to push through thanks to the extra capacity of the ship due to me fitting it to a T5 standard.
I suspect what’s happening with you is that you are operating right at the top of the curve and theirs little to nothing extra your ships can give when you hit this brick wall, then it is effectively a 100% death sentence.
I understand what you are saying about the fitting of your ship also, you can fit to “hopefully” defeat this room but theirs 3 rooms to pass through and what’s right for one will get you killed in another.
CCP have made it too tight at the top and need to give us something extra, to give us a chance of success as long as we do every thing right and/or are lucky.
This is not about making it doable every time but making it “possible” every time even if we don’t manage it every time, this is difficulty as it’s supposed to be. Putting in instances that are impossible to overcome breaks this.
We need to know every time that when we enter the Abyss that it’s at least possible we’ll leave it again no matter how improbable due to the level we are playing at.
Never seen so many words to basically agree with what the Abyss is.
CCP doesn’t need to give you anything extra. You have literally described the Abyss experience.
He’s choosing to run the hardest iteration. Comes with the most profit and most risk.
The Abyss is literally working as intended.
In a nut shell what I said:
What the OP is saying calls this premise into question.
Did you write the code? Do you work for the QA team vetting the code before release? Have you seen the design teams notes outlining what they wanted to achieve when they set out to create the Abyss? If so I’ll take this comment at face value.
when you say the “The Abyss is literally working as intended” Are you agreeing with us? but saying thats the way it’s supposed to be? or are you saying our concerns are baseless and thats not how the Abyss behaves?
Being able to answer ether comment would imply you have some insider knowledge of how the code is “supposed” to behave.
His case is unique and he probably wouldn’t have been able to win.
You can so anyone for whatever reason you want. This doesn’t mean that you will win.
Exactly
hahaha…if i were to post a gif reflecting how i got hit by the Marshal death spawn…this would be it
hahaha funny…
I ve never seen anybody as dedicated and determined as you to troll a thread…it almost feels like you are a CCP troll…or a mean 12 year old kid…or your life is so miserable you take pleasure in this so you feel better cause you got nothing else in your life…its like let it go already…
Bro, literally just look up how CCP describes the abyss and the plethora of sites that track fits and data. The OP messed up by wasting 2 months running on the test server. If he’d spent those 2 months running actuals, he’d have more than enough to cover his losses. It isn’t CCP’s fault that he decided to eat the lead paint. Although his tears are indeed delicous.
The Abyss doesn’t need to be changed. It is designed to be one of the most challenging PvE encounters, with the highest risk for the highest payout. It is not, nor should it ever be, that you’re gonna make it 100% of the time. Welcome to RNG
No worries. Keep flying those blinged fits. If you survive the abyss, you won’t survive Cliff
Again I ask, what troll the truth? The abyss is working as intended. You lost. It happens. I advise you to take your own advice
You could have just taken the loss, manned up and kept on trucking. Instead you gave us this gold mine of a salt thread. Now, I admit, personally the saltiness is hilarious. However, you calling to make the Abyss easier is poppycock.
You are running the hardest iteration of the most challenging PvE for the highest payout. Your mistake was running too many test runs and not actual profit runs.
Then your number came up. Happens bro. Also, by vocab and char history alone, it’s pretty obvious I’m not 12
But please continue to cry This thread has delivered much enjoyment to me. Also next time you run, you may want to ask Cliff for help. He is very skilled at abyssal running and could offer some tips. Please ensure to let him know what system you are in, as that can determine the RNG.
Thankee.
Lol the reason the weapons cycle goes on is following:
you shoot----- Calculates if its a crit hit or so ------- Takes damage- rest of cycle-----You shoot-----Calculates if its a crit hit or so-----(end of cycle— new cycle) Target Dies-----Sends message that Target is Dead------Cycle Stops Mid Cycle
Say thanks to me a 13 year old austrian boy who knows : COMPUTERS NEED TIME TO CALCULATE
Who’s Cliff?
Keep running blinged fits
You’ll find out.
Op- welcome to life. No matter how powerful, rich, etc you are IRL there will be something or multiple somethings that you just can’t do. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
Under your logic walking on the moon must be impossible because you can’t do it. Winning a gold medal in the Olympics must be impossible. It must all be a scam for TV entertainment because you can’t do it. Or you can win a medal in running but it’s now unfair you can’t win that swimming medal you always wanted. Therefore it’s time to sue.
There are other games that even have had challenges that weren’t solved by anyone in the game for long periods of time. Even items that took years and luck to acquire. Impossible? No. But just unsolved. Personally I don’t mind these types of challenges in games because it adds some mystery and allure to the game. How boring is it if every challenge is fully documented and turned into a cake walk after the first person does it.
The problem isn’t the game or CCP it’s you. If the content is too hard for you then there is the choice available to do easier content that you can 100% complete. No one is holding a gun to your head.
Ok, that’s your problem if the rooms are made with rng and this room has 0.3% to spawn it doesn’t mean that it will spawn after 100 runs, it can, but it can also appear 2 times in a row and then nothing for the next 198 runs. Simple math. In another words if rng says that you’ll make profit before you die it will, provided with large enough number of runs, so what you should do is instead of trying to make it run every room make it more isk efficient so that you’ll statistically make more than 100% of your ship before you die and congrats, you’re dying but making profits… but but but I don’t want to die I should be able to max my pve to never die. No. In most forms of PvE rats are extremely easy to kill but the danger comes from players, incursion runners can be ganked, ns ratters can be hot dropped, wormhollers can get a bunch of cloaky friends. People are so angry about abyss because if you play smart it gives you 100% protection from the pve dangers of other players so to fill that role ccp made the rats in abyss cranked to 9000 so instead of crying you should like the rest of us accept rng, Bob and loses into your gameplay. (Like for real dude go read at least wikipedia about rng and then about probability and then about percents)
Gankers mate…
