Meta modules

@Gerard_Amatin the price in the compare tool is not based on local prices

It’s regional prices, I think?

Anyway it closely matches local prices, I checked.

Edit: looks like the prices are global. You’re right, it’s not local.

My point is that Jita prices are heavily skewed compared to other markets. Jita traders would sell their own mother if it meant they got one more chocolate chip on the cookie they just traded for…

Indeed, one big difference between Jita and other markets is supply.

Limited supply due to being unable to build your own meta modules is not relevant in Jita when everyone hauls their loot there. It’s not a thing in Jita, unlike elsewhere.

Anyone can build a T1 module they need near where they live. You cannot build meta modules, so even if they’re better and ‘cheaper’ it might in fact be cheaper to build a T1 module than to import one all the way from Jita.

Usually people would import more than one thing so it’s not uncommon to import an entire fit from the nearest market, including meta modules, but the point is that meta modules and T1 modules each have their place in the game. Even if the main purpose of T1 modules is to turn it into T2.

A lot of people fit ships in or base prices on Jita

It would make sense if the base variants were always cheapest but i think invention drives up their price. If the meta variants reprocess into the base variant + 1 morphite i think prices would be more balanced.

I think a buff to gun mining (i.e. your ‘meta modules to morphite’ suggestion) is not something the game needs at the moment.

Miners are complaining about a lack of ore to mine.

The last thing that they need is to have the the bits of available ore to drop in price too to make mining a waste of time.

As far as i understand the miners are not complaining about the ISK / Hour. But its off-topic
