Mission Love Where is it CCP

The team you’re referring to works for crypto EVE, aka: Frontiers. It’s possibly they’ll also (now) contribute to EVE as well, but for many years EVE has not had any dedicated economists working at CCP.

So, this may be the case once again (emphasis on “may”).

It’s the team that works on the MER…

They’re never had a dedicated economist (MER).

The people who make it have degrees in economics I am not claiming they have an economists (usually someone who has a Doctorate or Masters).

Thank you for your kind words. I have huuuuge plans for missions but as there has been no announcement yet (that i know of) , or even a form of planned ESI schema data available, for when the ESI for Freelance jobs will be available then missions will likely be available for creation through PANDORA within the next 2 weeks.

PANDORA is already handling enormous possibilities in full-blown campaigns: https://www.evepandora.com/

Faction, Alliance, Corporation and Capsuleer profile pages will be full finished by end of next week

I don’t know about that, CCP are the authority on lore and canon, I care about missions as lore delivery vectors. Take a simple mining mission such as Ice Installation:

Right away. But look, this one’s a little weird. Just a heads up.

There’s this guy who’s making these really, truly gigantic ice sculptures — some kinda artsy sh*t, I don’t know. I said, buddy, that much ice, it’s gonna melt before you can finish carving it, or it’s gonna break under its own weight. He says he knows that, says that’s why he’s gonna build it in space! Crazy…

Anyway, he’s got the money, so what am I gonna say but “how much and how fast?” So, can you get 20 units of Crystalline Icicles over here ASAP? I got a location for you.

This is now canon, there are eccentric artists making giant ice sculptures in space, it cracks me up. What’s a player going to do? “Go mine 45.000m3 of Ligmaium, I want to swim in it like Scrooge McDuck”?

Extrapolating from what is happening, they’ll release a Metenox Mission Drill that will accumulate L3 missions worth of salvage and standings per hour so people can go do something else instead, I don’t know what, join the Battle Of The Forge or something.

Agreed. But people like skinner boxes even though most of them will never admit to it.

Lol. Economics. They crashed the Housing Market in 2008.. They also caused other market crashes like the Dot Com bubble and many more.
The Questiion is, are they reliable or not.

Not all economists are equal. Most of them are just intellectuals, they say what they think people want to hear. Real economists will “speak truth to power” but most of them wont. Its complicated

We’re getting off track here… There’s never going to be any overhaul of missions - not even some expanded Burner missions. Why? Because none of it creates conflict. Players have already figured out how to min/max L4s, Burners and Abyssals in high-sec.

Everything and the kitchen sink is being thrown into null-sec: Equinox, Revenant and now Legion. Along the journey we’ve seen just about every region nerfed to some extent: low-sec, high-sec and wormhole space. If it weren’t for a few key CSMs - I don’t even think they would’ve given wormhole space a second look and let all the nerfs stand. Supposedly we’re supposed to see a high-sec ore change around June 3. We’ll see…

CCP doesn’t want players in high-sec. Both they and the null alliances look at high-sec as no more than a meat grinder for the null-sec war machine. If it weren’t for the fact that they’d lose half of their player base overnight they’d happily do away with high-sec entirely (aside from a handful of rookie systems).

This is why Freelance is geared solely towards null-sec recruiting efforts (ADM). It’s never going to be the dynamic player-driven NPC feature everyone was hoping for. And you’re not going to see anything in the next few patches or expansion over the next 6-8 months that doesn’t continue to further the null agenda.

Mission overhauls/expansion is a non-starter.
New high-sec content is a non-starter.
Freelance is DOA.

Does CCP need to get the attention from DEVS
Not just a
We are talking about it
We have mentioned
We heard that crap at fanfest on many many things
I get most of there money is in null sec
But how many of them are multi boxers
Null is mainly owned bye two alliances
Seems patch after patch
Upgrade after upgrade
0.5 and up get no attention at all
If they want to say mining that is a joke of a upgrade
CCP can’t even answer open tickets because they say they are so busy with last update issues
But have np taking our money every month
More money could be made if CCP just cared about all players
But as proven last 20 years
They can’t even speak to truth
They can’t do customer support
EVE has been around for over 2 decades
Great work on that part
But every new player I have tried to get to join this game
Say the same
If all they wanted to do was fight every time they log in with other players they could go different fighting games
CCP fails to cater even a little to there other cash base and that is mission runners and 0.5 and up space runners
They wonder why the account base numbers have been about the same for 10 years
Go watch Twitch
More multi boxers now then ever before
You may find 2 to 3 mission runner channels
Rest all they do is
Scan
kill
Mouse pointer has always been a issue in lighted solar systems and they know this
Just to lazy to fix because they know every upgrade has to cater to null sec or they will get yelled at bye there multi boxer players

The fact that you don’t land within docking/jumping range half the time needs to be fixed.

I agree, it’s silly that our propulsion modules and regular speed have zero relevance during space travel.

To make the inconsistent behaviour you so rightfully point out less inconsistent I propose ships land short of docking and jump range all the time rather than half the time.

ooh how about autopilot warps to 25km and then they have to slowboat from there to dock.

How exactly did we end up on the subject of auto-pilot again?
