I have been playing Eve since 2004, off and on. One suggestion is to create new mission content. The first time around is ok… but after running the same missions for 20 years, they are ancient. I, or I think, most people do not run the missions for the challenge… they run them for materials. The new burner missions are fine, but it’s a massive jump in expertise. That is fine, but I would like to see more new missions that ease you into the new gameplay with burners, abys, etc. We should have 10 new missions every 10 years (one new mission a year), in my opinion.
I do all the Agents and Teams with a single Nergal, and most of them are “approach burner, web and shoot til it dies.” Easier than most missions with the right setup. HateLess did a awesome video on this that I highly recommend if you do burners.
And at this point, we’d have 20 more missions, which you wouldn’t notice in the rotation.
I’m not against the idea of new missions, but you do realize that this is ultimately a PvP game where the PvE is the income stream, not the main point of the game?
Then you are wrong. As always. PVE is meant to get people into space and thus make them available for engagements in the PVP part of the game. PVE is as much an integral part of the gameplay system as PVP. Hence, it should be enjoyable and entertaining and not just be an afterthought.
Just because YOU skip standard missions doesn’t mean other people would skip them as well. Just like people expect and enjoy variety in their PVP engagements, PVE players do the exact same thing.
I agree, more mission variety would be a good thing. I can’t imagine making mission sites and text is a lot of complex work, it seems like something you could put the seasonal interns on, and it’s one of the activities new players are naturally drawn to (questing is the typical approach to levelling up in MMOs, it’s natural someone unfamiliar with EVE would assume the same holds true here), and currently the list of available missions is so short it’s not unusual to get the same one twice in a row.
The sites themselves are also really outdated. Like cloud decals that looked obsolete in 2006 are still a thing.
This bullsh!t is why you’re always here complaining about the game, and I’m always here enjoying myself.
Cope however you want, but don’t ever think your delusions are anything close to facts.
How about a mission that sends someone into a mission WH space (not a regular WH), but one with sleepers to complete xxxxx .
Some missions are fun but repetitive. The career agent missions have some great looking locations and could mashed up for some regular missions. Blowing up a few rat corvettes can be fun but it’s not gonna be the same without some risk involved. The intro tutorial looks pretty epic.
