What’s more if you push someone to suicide he will not talk about it. He will just do it, and nobody knows why he did ; his wife, his children will keep the “why” all their life without a way to answer. More important, the persons who pushed him may not even realize that they killed a man.
Just because someone was so out of his mind that he believes that HE is allowed to make personal attack, he finds himself a reason.
That’s what happens on those forums, where mods do let people be used to repeated aggression.
Yes you may not have wanted to actually kill him. Yes he may have had a dog day and just wanted to find a friendly chitchat on the forum, with an idea, rather than be insulted and rejected by toxic people.
I don’t know if this happened already in the game, but I know this happens IRL. I know that verbal aggression are an effective way to hurt and kill people. And all those people ho try to find excuses, it’s the same as when people are abused : they try to put the culpability on the victim. That makes them accomplices since they are trying to hide the facts. And the FACT is that people use words to make personal ATTACKS on a person, with the intent to harm that person. THAT is already enough. You can claim as you want that hitting someone in the head won’t make him to die, that he died for another reason. That’s you just being in denial of your own responsibility.
Nicolai is doing harassment on purpose. He should be banned form the forum, and his eve accounts deleted too.
It’s the same for those people who keep on trolling, like Jonah. They are the one nitpicking and then calling other “arguing on semantics” when they are the ones putting dishonesty on purpose in a discussion. They are actively trying to hurt people.

Repeatedly making personal attack on a person is harassment, not matter the person.
You may be used to this. You may not even realize it is. But it is.
The same goes for repeated negative non-constructive criticism. However the line here is more blurry.
Many people don’t even realize that they do personal attacks on a regular basis. They just don’t even realize what is the topic and what is not. They are in denial of their own actions.
Often people don’t realize that it’s personal attack because they are used to do that with their friends. The thing is, it’s okay to do bullying with your friends, as long as you know when to stop, because they will know how to tell you when you cross the line. It’s not okay when you are talking with strangers over internet, especially since it’s more difficult to convey emotions and feelings. Just like it’s not okay when you are doing that with a stranger.

Even if I saw Jonah in the mirror, this post is just saying that it’s okay to troll and harass people because reasons. What I do is not relevant to whether Jonah should do it or not, so talking about what I do is a personal attack. Jonah IS trolling, and pushing people, by his own words, willingly, and he is proud of it. Whatever I do does not invalidate this fact.
I’m usually at odds with @Anderson_Geten but in this instance I agree 100%.
@Foggy_Bernstein, seems Destiny Corrupted does have a life, a life of constantly posting giant walls of text in this forum with the intention to initiate conflicts with others who don’t share the same viewpoint, all done in some feeble attempt to appear superior.
Just a few hours ago I noticed ISD had closed a different thread for cleaning, after a bit they reopened it and said 11 replies were removed for being off-topic. Upon checking that thread I noticed a lot of off-topic replies still active in that thread.
So why was only 11 off-topic replies removed and all other off-topic replies allowed to stay active?
It’s because of selective moderation based on bias and prejudice.
If you believe that moderation was performed inadequately, I invite you to mail community team about the offense, and additionally invite you to put in an application to CCL to help moderate the forums instead of getting annoyed at volunteers.

For sure. There’s a pattern to which people need to be getting weepy and butthurt before a “cleaning” is initiated. And certain people’s off topic posts consistently don’t get removed. It’s not even subtle anymore.
Like I’ve said many times. The people that WANT to be ISD are the people that shouldn’t be allowed in. If CCP is going to insist on using volunteers instead of hiring people that have experience and no bias, then it should be by invitation. Not application.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Bastylody is the biggest troll on the forums. He’s my role model, my inspiration, my raison d’etre. He made me what I am today.

I’m inclined to believe several highly qualified people (including regulars) never applied in the first place (and I doubt CCP/CCL issues invitations, and I pray to and thank the 
Eggplant Goddess each and every single day that certain players didn’t apply and/or didn’t get accepted. I am shudder at the prospect of what moderation would be like under the administration of some of those complaining about the need for increased administration.
Depending on who does it, the juxtaposition could be stark.
If someone like DMC had mod powers, I imagine that within ten minutes, anyone who’s ever fired a shot at another player in-game would be handed a permanent ban. The forum would quickly turn into a thought-policed echo chamber of ideas for eliminating the “griefer” problem.
Meanwhile, if someone like me had mod powers, I’d then this place would become Lord of the Flies just as quickly. I’d manipulate and goad everyone into arguments by covertly making everyone prey on each other’s insecurities, Palpatine-style:

And to address just how wrong you are. When the new / old forums were implemented in late 2011, CCP reactivated the ISD / CCL program to help moderate the forums and asked the community members for volunteers. Quite a few players joined and then left the program for various reasons by their own choice. As such the program didn’t proceed as expected.
In June 2012 CCP Navigator addressed the community in this thread about various concerns and issues that had developed over that time period. He posted a detailed description of how CCP planned on training and helping ISD to become better moderators and what was expected from the community as well as asking for volunteers again. Back then Admiral ISD Eshtir was in charge of the CCL team and quite frankly, he was the best moderator I’ve ever seen in these forums.
During that time I received a personal message from CCP asking me to apply. It was unexpected and quite a surprise. I thanked them very much for asking and declined their offer. I told CCP I didn’t know if I could remain fair and impartial as a moderator, more than likely I’d probably enforce the rules to the letter with an Iron Fist and if I did accept, I’d call myself ISD Davy Jones, send a lot of threads to the Locker and have various posters ‘Walk the plank’.
CCP thanked me for my honesty and told me to apply if I changed my mind in the future. Over the past 12 years of dealing with these forums just as a member, I noticed I’ve become much less tolerant and a lot more bitter. Now if I had become a moderator and after years of dealing with these forums… I’d probably be like this …
