Rattati doesn’t do the knobs. Rise does. Rattati sets the goals and handles the broad-strokes level of ‘how should this work?’ Rise is the guy with the nuts-and-bolts knowledge of game systems to do the fine-tuning.
Oh… Welp, now I’m less ignorant.
Sorry Rise…
And thank you Arrendis
They ought to change the ships first because they already know how broken they are from data of the past 7 years. They should not wait another 3 years with the new ore distribution before they change the primary reasons for this entire scarcity debacle. This attitude brought us to this point in the first place.
Yeah, but at the same time, they can’t evaluate whether or not those changes produce the results they want until the resource changes go in. That’s why I expect them to do it simultaneously.
Odd how things appear different to different people, I think of this as a buff.
How long had you been playing at that point, and where did you live? When this happened I was pretty well fed up with being one shot before I knew I was even in a fight and had been training almost nothing but shields and armor for several months to try and survive long enough to learn something while living on the outer edge of nullsec. For me that was just the begining of chasing skilled that wound up seeming pointless. On the plus side I have a lot of skills for stuff I more than likely wouldn’t have gone after and this makes me pretty flexible if things calm back down a bit.
That makes sense too I suppose, but I don’t really understand CCP’s thinking on a lot of stuff. Sometimes they seem a lot like Microsoft doing huge things without thinking and then having to undo it later. Windows 8 springs to mind.
I think though that CCP is also unlike Microsoft in that they try to have a long term goal in mind, where as Microsoft just does stuff to see if money comes from it or not. Both seem to be in the habit of pissing people off and then trying to mitigate the damage later.
