Monthly Economic Report - June 2018

just curious as I rarely goes to NS:

  1. What is the story about Delve having lots of destruction, lots of NPC bounties, lots of mining, even more production than The Forge, etc. Is it an overcrowded area? If so, why do most people goes there?

  2. Looking at the first graph, it appears that, in Eve, production is 4x time more important than destruction. Or do I read bad? If this is the case, are we running to a big problem with way more articles on sale than the market can absorb?

Thanks for your replies.

The CFC (Imperium/Goons) live in Delve, there are a few thousand ? of them.

Years back they got a handle on Technium and wagered that as a huge economic hammer and made lots and lots of isk, THey also handled a huge rental empire making even more isk, some of which which they turned into supercapitals. and currently have the single largest Supercapital fleet. After the Casino war in which much of their expansive holdings were lost, they retreated to Delve.

Now they sit there, mining everything, building even more and drop several supers on any ships that attempt to enter their space. There are titan drops on frigates on zkill. With such security, which no other region has, they can deploy fleets of rorquals to mine out moons, belts, and ice. They have hundreds of players ratting in anoms, at all times. The econ charts show that their level of activity is basically peak for any system they are trying in.

It comes down to a very specific look at the mechanics of game play that have been analyzed by talented strategists for min/max performance that no other group is doing.

They also have a botting problem which they are not interested in solving.

The reality is: you have to embrace PvE and allow PvE to not be seen as “bad” like it is the case in so many alliances nowadays. Allow people to actually earn their keep and then let them burn it out of boredom simply because they have enough.

Economic power is a huge Deal and every single other alliance has allowed itself to fall short on it. That’s why everyone is mad about goons: Goons proof that the old ways of dealing with PvE (i.e. limit it, sanction it via renting fees or worse) are inferior.

Once people are out of their “isk problems”, they will happily start to burn ships instead, even their own.

Provide a space secure enough to earn fortunes, then use these fortunes to burn whatever you want to burn. Proof of concept was shown in X47L.

What’s really important is: How have goons done in July with the War Efforts. Let’s wait and see till CCP gives us numbers.
