@CCP_Bee Time to stop that insane afk/massmultibox Icemining in HS isn’t it…?

Please make that content more active, more rewarding for smaller and active HS newbro groups instead for the massmulti alt accounts of already superrich veterans. Remove the huge static icebelts, they should be empty from centuries of organized mining in the heartlands of the big empires anyway (lore + immersion).

Break that ice amount into smaller, randomly spawning anomalies that are perfect for small and active newbro groups to find and mine, but not worth it for a massmultibox veteran to move his orca+exhumer fleet over. Also add larger, more challenging ice-signatures, defended by NPCs but valuable enough to bring mining command ships in industrial mode into them.

The MPI index shows a negative percentage growth. Even though the price is rising. Is the % based on yearly or average over time?

And ideas on how this is calculated from 2 MPI numbers would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

Economic activity in Exordium isn’t even a blip…

This early returns on exordium is looking fairly positive. But before we all start singing Kumbaya and patting backs.. These are just the first returns. While still cautiously good. Am not about to pop the cork on some Feille d’Marnne Champaign in celebration.

And exordium looks like it is working as intended. Barely an impact on the economy. But after this month we will, I hope, start to see a better player retention. Maybe I will be happily proven wrong. And exordium was a good step in player retention. These next few months will see if that is right or not. Right now I am still waiting to see what the numbers and what I see in game.

The early numbers are practically non-existent. Unless we see a massive influx of players to Exordium (and short of a marketing blitz, why would we?), I don’t see the MER changing that substantially.

For existing players there’s no “gold rush” in Exordium to FOMO over.

2 things here. One: These are early returns. There does seem to be an uptick on players being on overall. Which is cautiously good. I say cautious, because only a month in is not how to project whether new player retention is working. Personally a massive rush, while something to be cheering about. is rarely sustainable in the long run.

Two: There was to be no “Gold Rush” in Exordium. It was not designed or meant to have any real impact on the economy. In that exordium is working as intended.

Again in the next few months as these new players leave these new starter areas. Will be the time to see if this project has any success, points to whether something different needs to be done, or the next steps, whatever that may look like, can be phased in. Exordium I suspect was just a first step towards player retention.

FC has hinted at steps that might be taken in both broad and vague terms. I am still not sure if I trust the whole ‘we got this guys or not’. Projecting confidence is one thing. Not giving any real details at the same time. Maybe they do.. Only time in the next few months will tell if they do indeed “have this”.

In the end while I still harbor reservations. I also recognize something needs to be done. If this does work, even modestly, I will take that as being happily proven wrong. I want the game to be here for another 20 years.

Yeah but the no pvp space and expansion was advertised. I don’t know the scope of the campaign, but some form of advertisement was there.

Which no longer will be the case going forward.

To me, if anythings it shown how very few new players are actually trying EVE. And I bet we will still lose majority of them as always because the new no-pvp space is just boring. And so those who will stay there will almost guaranteed quit out of boredom and those who will leave will still quit sooner or later because of non-consensual PvP as always.

The way I see it Exordium is massive fail. But it won’t go away. Devs spent resources, CCP spent money on marketing, even if it was causing more players to quit than before it will stay lol.
