Moon Mineral Distribution Update

ya after this change the only thing that will happen is players will run till that Last normal pull then shut down and start to unfit station and sell all they can since if you live in worm hole or high sec ya you didn’t before mine for the worthless goo ore and you sure as all hell will not do so after

If you truly believe that, why do you continue playing?

they talk about oversupply, but the t1 ships are damn expensive now… if there was such an oversupply they would be cheap now wouldn’t they be? the reserves don’t matter if there is none using them…

Sorry 66%, nothing major.

You seem to think that anything that has a purpose cannot be unhealthy if there is too much of it…

When people talk about there being too many capitals…do you go: But they have a purpose…?

In the hangars of corps and players in all areas of space i imagine.

Do you doubt they exist?

You think ccp are doing this for shits and giggles? When they sent out a survey to the players asking their opinion on the economy you thought it was the beginning of an evil master plan?

Goto a normal belt in hi-sec. Sum up the value of the ore. You may be surprised that the value of one belt in hisec can reach several hundred mil. Now how many belts do we have in the game? And how many belts are better than that of hisec?

The total ore we mine in the game is much less than the game generates. And the amount we destroy is usually one third of what we produce…

Still not, but I get it. For those who’ve got used to the massive buff from the changes over the last couple of years, this will be a painful adjustment, but the overall game mineral situation will be fine, just like it always was before.

Temporary and CCP don’t belong in the same sentence. Especially considering CCP isn’t even sure where they are going with this beyond a dream of dynamic resources. Their complete refusal to explain how they intend to fix this is a pretty clear indication their either don’t intend to or have no idea. Everything coming out of CSM I have heard is pretty doom and gloom of CCP just throwing ideas at the wall with no real concern for consequences.

Why would they do that, they explicitly nerfed anomalies to go along with this?

I understand what you’re saying, but as it stands this is phase1 of three.

Ccp may not be able to give a date for phase2 because it depends on how fast we burn through phase1.

One thing I’m pretty damn sure of though is that T1 ships are not going to become expensive. You can mine highsec ore and reprocess mods from missions for that.

I love this line, because it shows you don’t actually know what the changes were. Please show me the massive buffs anomalies have gotten over the past several years. Patch notes only please not what you think happened. What you will find it that mining in nullsec has been repeatedly nerfed over the past 3-4 years despite your beliefs.

The “scarcity phase” is not a phase… the reductions in ore and other resources will be ongoing and permanent.

Im okay with however CCP want to distribute ore and minerals. What I hate is when out of the blue they change core mechanics in the game and it wastes a lot of what you have built over the months.

With these changes, players will indeed adjust, but is there a certainty that CCP wont screw with the game again? They’re actively driving people away from the game. These guys are dumb.

If I can make billions mining static belts in high sec, I’m sure you moon owners and null sec residents will be just fine…

I would be interested to hear how you do this, honestly

Meh, just go with “pay-to-win” already and call it a day. Remove all sources of income from the game, zero out everyone’s wallets, and then have everything be purchased through plex you have to pay real-life cash for. Only way to get plex is to either buy it or do the following: For every ship you kill, 1 plex. For every mission you run, 1 plex. If you successfully run mine-sweeper on a tower, 1 plex. Frigates cost 100 plex and every ship above that doubles in cost. Destroyer: 200 Cruiser: 400 Battlecruiser: 800 and so on. If it’s a T2 variant, it costs double, and T3 variants are triple. All modules are destroyed when a ship is destroyed except 1 plex. If you salvage a wreck, you may get 1 plex (RNG). #IAmGoingAllIn

Ice Wars are about to start… oh wait less refineries and structures so maybe not.

I don’t need dates, we need to know what they actually intend to do. Saying “There will be dynamic distribution” means nothing because they could just be saying it and have no idea how to implement it. Dynamic distribution has been the dream of resource distribution for over 10 years and they still haven’t figured it out. So what we have is:

Phase 1: Kill all mining
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Dynamic resources

with no actual path on how they will get there.

Also in what world does highsec produce enough ore to manufacture ships for a large player base? It may surprise you but most ore does not come from highsec, and highsec has a limited amount of ore available to it. So yes all ships will become more expensive because ore is becoming significantly more scarce.

I didn’t say anomolies. Anomoloies aren’t a playstyle. Mining is.

Rorquals buffed. Orca buffed. Moon mining switched from almost-passive to active mining. Minerlas available from moons.

The whole mining profession has been buffed, especially around moon related play.

This is rolling that back and I get it, if it affects you personally then the changes are going to be distasteful, but the mineral situation in game will be fine.

I am glad my Omege time is ending and you have lost a paying customer!

The first year I played Eve 2017. CCP Seagull nerfed all bounties on rats, nerfed mission pay out and nerfed the loot table for drops also. I used to be able to make an ok living off of running missions but now you are barely able to cover the cost of small losses (tech II drones and ammo) and make a little isk to advance in the game.

Late 2017 or early 2018, CCP added NPC miner and they will clear all the astroid belts within 4-6 hours of server reset at most. CCP added moon mining and bloodaider FoBs, that were only supposed to be in .5 system, since the add reward of the moon mining in .5 system and only one FoB per region per day. That did not stay that way long. I have seen as many as 6 FoBs in a single region and now CCP is nerfing the hell out of moons.

2019 we got Triglavian invasions and Triglavian scouting fleets. While the emerging conduits paid well the skill cap and ship cost keep most of high sec from running them but we know CCP nerfed the heck of those already. The Triglavian scouts make mining in a belt almost impossible for a solo miner and impossible for low skill newer players. The triglavians at least punish afk miners.

2020 we got normal astroid belts nerfed and that forced most mining to be done at moon stations. Then we got Moons with no minerals after years of nerfing normal belts!

I don’t think CCP could make a balanced game with a scale. I hope the accounts and players lost make Blackout look small!

So are you the first person into a belt at respawn then? You may not know this but those belts are almost universally mined out by the time USTZ rolls around.
