So, whats the reason why you yourself cant be trusted with holding the money? Why would there be a need to forward the 25b isk reward to someone else?

If you give it, you give it. If you dont, then who cares, its your isk. Only thing you lose is your rep, which, since ive never heard of you before, isnt a very good rep to begin with.

You posting this here just makes it seem as though you didnt get enough traffic as you thought you would on your first post, so you wanted to come back with another post to promote your event.

I would look for reliability over trustworthiness. Does the person always do what they say they are going to do ? Is their conduct consistent ? A reliable person is far more likely to be trustworthy.

Personally I’d have no reason to steal your 25bn. Whilst not as wealthy as Mr Epeen, I am one of the richer people in Eve…running a large number of chars. All I care about is kills…not ISK.

In case youre not aware, no one cares if you hand it out or not, because its not like we donated or contributed to it.

Literally, who cares if someone whos a nobody says he will give out 25 bill then doesnt?

There is only one transaction, which is when you give 25 bil to the contest winner, or not. There is no scam if you don’t because no one paid you anything and no one expects a new alt with no history to pay out anyway, so if you do pay it’s going to be a happy surprise if the winner of your contest is even aware of the contest.

So what would lead an EVE player to create a fresh alt without history or links to other players to promise out 25 billion ISK to a random person and then ask for a trustworthy 3rd party?

Fun? Perhaps.

EVE is full of skeptics though. If I am going to be skeptic, I could guess that this could be a set-up to bring in a ‘trustworthy third party’ who just happens to be your main character in an attempt to set up your main for more 3rd party transactions in the future based on this paper trail.

After all, due to your use of a fresh alt we have no idea who your main or what your intention is.

I don’t trust you nor any ‘trustworthy 3rd party’ you choose.

Why not just do the contest without one?

As the ISD only show up to close threads if they’re personally invited, you’ll have plenty time to figure it out.

I sure miss Chribba’s EVE search. It came in handy when a poster or the ISD deleted posts/threads.
