I would ask what that means, but I know it means nothing.
You were always going to be given the option, even if you couldn’t run more than 1 client on a single instance of a machine, which is easily circumvented with VM’s, you could still do the same using multiple machines, even if you attempted to limit the game to one login per IP address you could circumvent that with a VPN and that restriction would ruin internet cafes, of which even iceland has, and literally any university or shared complex type scenario
There was never any reasonable scenario where it could ever be enforced even IF they had wanted to, its a technical impossibility, so instead of literally wasting resources battling a problem that isn’t actually an issue, they just embrace it with the only restriction being with regards to alpha accounts, if you’re willing to pay for 12 accounts you can have access to 12 accounts
Probably why they embraced it in the 1st place?
A very cheap, flimsy way to dismiss any opinion that does not match your own.
Popular tactic here it seems.
Blinkers look good horses, not people.
If it were a clear and permaban offense to have more than 2 accounts per real person, even if people could find ways to have more, it would’ve sure had gone a longer way to discourage it and have it make less of an impact it’s already had on the game.
Intensive multiboxed faction warfare mission farming and plexing for instance, what a shitshow…
Btw you must obviously be an avid multibox user.
It means, all the cats are out of the bag and everyone treats them as if they always existed…
I know your just trolling, but since its 10 min to my show, I’ll indulge just to give the ISD something to clean up.
Is there a point to that statement?
Edit; Don’t miss breakfast over this one.
Highly likely, and they saw that people might actually want them to avoid having to waste training time on skills they don’t really want on their main, especially when you had to pay more ISK for clones back then depending on the SP you had
And would have likely killed the game off entirely, so it was never an option, nor should it be, and yes you’re going to disagree with that but considering its lasted 17 years with multiboxing i very much doubt that its actually doing any meaningful damage despite what you might claim
For most of EVE i have run atleast 2 accounts, at my height i think it was 4, although 1 of those was only training for a very specific goal, currently operate 2 daily yes, i’ve known people with far more and i know a guy who can regularly be logged in on 8 accounts
Okay, so pointing out argumentative fallacies are not a cheap way to dismiss opinions. lol
That being said, I’m not entirely sure that you actually used the bandwagon fallacy. If you had implied that multiboxing was wrong/unfair merely because lots of people viewed it as such, then it would be a fallacy. However, it appears that you were actually pointing out just how many people considered this to be an issue of concern for them.
You do have that capability. Maybe not a single computer, but you could create and train 5000 alts and try to wipe out a coalition.
You’d fail, horribly. That coalition is made of individuals that can act much faster than you could with 5000 alts. It’s pretty plain to see.
On top of that, you wouldn’t wipe out a coalition in a single stroke. Stations have dps caps and timers. Ihubs take time to take over. You’d have to secure your new space.
It simply can’t happen due to a single person.
If it makes you feel better, over the next few months I will try. I will buy several computers to run an average of 25 accounts each, and I will try to use them in combat.
Realistically, I am well aware that I will fail horribly, but when it’s all done I can just use them to mine.
Not ordinarily no. Not where one exists at least.
Exactly.
Nothing Bandwagon Fallacy about it.
All you have to do is label a valid concern as something invalid, give it a negative label, make it seem like something that should be arbitrarily dismissed without due consideration, and you don’t have to address it or even concede it exists.
Just troll tactics.
That is input broadcast and will get all your accounts banned with no recourse.
Thanks. That’s what I thought. Glad I got a chance to run across him before they banned it.
Creepy feeling, lol
Well not just any opinion. Just ones formed via the bandwagon fallacy.
Pretty sure he’s claiming there’s ‘undeniably’ an issue based on the number of people claiming there’s an issue.
I mean it’s got to be that or plain and simple circular logic.
The topic has been considered.
But you’ve come here to call people cheaters and scum because they play a way you don’t like, suggest that voting is rigged against your desired outcome by multi-boxers but ironically the opposite has happened, then claim the games ‘broken’ and that theres ‘undeniably an issue.’
Anyone who doesn’t agree with you gets called a troll…cause why not?
None of this is true.
Half of what you claim here is based on your previously noted poor comprehension but worse than that, now you have resorted to outright fabrication.
I don’t really like to ‘discuss’ issues with liars. I find them distasteful to say the least.
Make up your mind. Do you agree with me or not?
Do you even know?
2/10 troll. Must try harder.
Multi boxing has been around since the beginning of eve, and the only time it is cheating right now is if your doing it on a alpha account.
Do you even read the things you post?
Were you trying to troll and flame? Because then that’s your problem for trying to violate a forum rule.
You suggested multi boxers would use their alts to skew the vote they aren’t concerned.
Ironically players have been using their alts to to skew the vote they are concerned.
Never did.
You’ve repeatedly demonstrated that you are unable to grasp what I’m saying. You leap to false conclusions based on your poor comprehension and then make false statements about what I have said, completely misrepresenting my comments.
You’ve done it so many times now that I can only conclude you’re either doing it on purpose to troll or you genuinely can’t hold an intelligent conversation. Either way playing ‘jump through hoops’ with you is tedious.
You’re not attacking the issue, you’re just attacking the player and you are way overdue for being blocked.
