Hello fellow members!
This is YHWH_Is_Lord Alt, especially created to circumvent the Like system!
Since he was very frustrated that the forum is so stingy with Likes, he decided, in his rebellious ways, to create Me, an alt who would take over in the frequent cases where he would love to like a post but cannot.
YHWH_Is_Lord finds it ridiculous that a forum would restrict Likes, although it is in keeping with EVE Online’s ways of frustrating the players, and since CCP allows infinite Alts for the game multiboxing, it is very logical to create Alts for Forum Multiboxing!
Now… I will only like the posts that YHWH_Is_Lord would like would he be able to and I will never ever like one of his posts… ever.
So I’m very happy and all giddy to join you beautiful people on the forum and hope to be able to like many of your great posts!
Likes. I don’t spray them around like confetti; if I agree with something, I leave it at that. If I think it’s an important point I may leave a like. Genuinely amusing posts (not try-hard ‘have-you-heard-the-one-about’ efforts) almost always get a Like from me.
I realised a few years ago that I was replying to many posts when there was really nothing worth writing about in them; so I reined it in.
Do I like to receive Likes? Of course I do! They are welcome when I write something which - well, see the first paragraph for conditions.
Luckily, my aptitude for self-restraint likely means that I shall not ever have to create an Alt purely for the purpose of leaving Likes. Hm. I’m starting to wonder why we do it…
You do you, pal. Me, I’d rather give than receive. There’s lots of therapeutic energy when something is freely given without expecting in return. If I want to give a thousand likes I don’t see why that should be a problem.
That’s you and that’s fine. Me, I have little self-restraint, when I give, I give a lot, when I love, I love fiercely, when I hate, better get out of my way and when I say it, I really mean it.

Thank you for letting me know how you feel about me. It’s always an advantage when I know what people think of me. I love when people are blunt and honest with me, gives me a clear path for action or inaction.

Nothing. They’re just shots in the dark by people who have no clue but need to pretend they do. What satisfaction does it give them? That is the question.
I don’t think that’s an issue. We agreed that people have different ways of expressing themselves; I am restrained, circumspect, and you are more open.
However, you did go on to link your habit of giving Likes to acts of charity. I found some aspects of that problematic, and said so.
A common description for a person who is (or who would like to be regarded as) ‘charitable’.
…sigh. I have now twice written that your liking posts in whatever quantities you wish is fine. You stated, though, that you had created an Alt purely to extend your Like-bestowing powers. Whether you were being entirely serious about that I cannot determine, but I wished to set out my own practice, by way of contrast. Contrast, not conflict, for Goodness’ sake.
