Are there multiple epic arcs offered within the same faction now? As you can see in the image that I uploaded (below), there are two icons for epic arcs for Minmatar: I.e. one is at Level III and the second is at Level IV.
I noticed this for all four major Empires. There are also epic arc icons visible for specific corporations… Are those actually specific to those corporations???
What am I missing here??? Are there two epic arc or are they the same arc but different/harder somehow? Can you do both every three months?

Image shows icon’s tooltip description and multiple icons for epic archs
Only 2 of the lv 4 Epic Arcs can be completed for another Faction.
Amarr Epic Arc can be completed for Sansha if desired.
Gallente Epic Arc can be completed for The Syndicate if desired.
There are 2 different level 3 Epic Arcs for Pirate Factions - Angel and Guristas. Each one of those has 3 different starting Agents to allow easy access.
Angel Epic Arc has Angel, Amarr and Minmatar starting Agents. The Amarr and Minmatar agents are ‘Double’ agents allowing access to the Angel Epic Arc.
Guristas Epic Arc has Guristas, Caldari and Gallente starting Agents. The Caldari and Gallente Agents are ‘Double’ Agents allowing access to the Guristas Epic Arc.
The level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc allows players a choice to complete the Epic Arc for 1 of the 4 Empire Factions - Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar.
However, maybe I’m a complete moron, I still don’t understand why there are two icons.
I’m assuming, the first icon “Epic Arc 3.0” at level 3 is for the well-known faction epic arcs.
What’s the second icon “Epic Arc 5.0” at level 4 for??? Is this the “complete for another faction” thing?
Sooo, would it be fair to adjust your answer by saying the following?
Each Faction only has 1 Epic Arc availableat level III (standing 3.0) that can be completed every three months.
Each faction also has 1 additional Epic Arc available at level IV (standing 5.0) that can be completed for another faction. However, only 2 of the lv 4 Epic Arcs can be completed for another Factionevery three months.
Amarr Epic Arc can be completed for Sansha if desired. Gallente Epic Arc can be completed for The Syndicate if desired.
No, you have it backwards … sorta. There are seven different Epic Arcs available in the game, one level 1 Epic Arc, two different level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs and four different Empire level 4 Epic Arcs.
The first one - Epic Arc 3.0 - is the level 3 Pirate Epic Arc.
When you gain over +3.00 Minmatar or Amarr Faction standing, you can access the Angel level 3 Pirate Epic Arc through their ‘Double’ Agents.
When you gain over +3.00 Caldari or Gallente Faction standing, you can access the Guristas level 3 Pirate Epic Arc through their ‘Double’ Agents.
The next one - Epic Arc 5.0 - is the main ‘well known’ level 4 Epic Arcs.
When you gain over +5.00 Empire Faction standing, you can access the level 4 Empire Epic Arc. Empire Factions = Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar Factions.
2 of those 4 Empire Epic Arcs have the option to complete it for another Faction. The Amarr Epic Arc allows you to complete it for either Amarr or Sansha. The Gallente Epic Arc allows you to complete it for either Gallente or The Syndicate.
The level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc allows you to choose one of the four Empire Factions for completion.
All Epic Arcs can be done again 90 days after completion.
Also remember that either Corporation or Faction standing can be used to access the Epic Arcs. If using the starting Agents Corporation standing for access, the Empire Faction must be above -2.00 standing.
For a little context… the pirate arcs were added to the game with certain criteria. To access any agent, you need standings. But nearly everybody has negative standings with the pirate factions, so they’d be impossible for most players to start. So, to make them accessible, they gave them empire agents you can use to start. Not as relevant to the current discussion, but they also wanted people to be able to survive doing them in nullsec, so they made them “speed boat” missions doable in fast frigates that can reliably travel nullsec solo. Part of the benefit for doing them is that it can help to fix negative pirate standings, granting access to the regular pirate mission agents available in nullsec.
So yeah, the lvl 3 epic arcs are not for the empire faction, but you can access them through the empire faction. That bad information is mostly the fault of the Agency window.
Thank you. This is perfect, @DeMichael_Crimson, and makes far more sense than the website. Really appreciate you taking the time to help me out with this. I hope someone else can make use of this as well.
I’m not entirely sure it would be doable. First, they’d have to have mission agents, which not every faction does. Second, assuming you just want to do the ones with agents, I’m not totally sure off the top of my head what the Empire ↔ Pirate standings relationships are, but if they are all -10, it might be impossible. It’s tricky/tedious enough with just the empire factions. Searching the Standings Repair Plan should turn up all the information there is to know about gaining standings.
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to accomplish that and have come to the conclusion that it’s possible to have positive standings with almost all Factions.
If a character with neutral or very small amount of standings towards all Factions was to follow the steps outlined in ‘The Plan’, eventually towards the end they would gain very high standings with Empire Factions which would serve as a buffer to make Pirate Factions positive as well. Eventually towards the end players would have to make a decision on whether or not to keep positive standing with Concord Assembly. Personally in my opinion it’s best to maintain positive standing with Concord since they control a number of systems in high security space.
Sooo, basically there’s 2 final options available for having positive standings with almost all Factions. Both options start out with gaining very high Faction standings with all Empire Factions. That’s accomplished by following the steps outlined in ‘The Plan’.
After gaining standing of at least +8.00, preferably more with the main Empire Factions, players can then concentrate on building up positive standings with some of the Pirate Factions via Epic Arcs.
Sansha can be made positive through the Amarr lv 4 Epic Arc.
The Syndicate can be made positive through the Gallente lv 4 Epic Arc.
Angel can be made positive through their lv 3 Epic Arc.
Guristas can be made positive through their lv 3 Epic Arc.
There’s also Angel and Guristas Pirate Cosmos Agents available but those incur both positive and negative standing towards the other Factions, especially Concord. While technically not a Pirate Faction, Thukker Tribe is also included with Pirate Factions even though they have good standing with Concord. So without inflicting any change to Concord standings:
Thukker can be made positive through their Cosmos Agents.
That basically leaves Blood Raiders and Serpentis Pirate Factions with negative standings. This is where the final decision comes into play.
You can raise Blood Raiders and Serpentis standings by working their Agents which will cause Concord to become negative or just keep Blood Raiders and Serpentis negative.
