I’ve found the cause of that issue (at least in my case), but don’t have a solution for it yet.
Microsoft GameBar integration with Game Copilot and Edge. I don’t even have XBox app installed or Game Bar Enabled, but it runs it anyway. I’ve uninstalled the Game Bar package manually using winget, and instead of just silently un-focusing the client (then you need to click twice on another monitor in order to bring back the game client in focus) and creating a startup delay, it throws this message:
Again, I don’t have any of the Microsoft gaming or Xbox apps installed or enabled, but Windows installed it by itself anyway when they pushed Gaming Copilot to everyone. And that integration creates problems.
Some Reddit posts suggest that the solution is to just install XBox app and enable Game Bar, but I’d rather look for a proper solution to remove that spyware completely.
