My Feedback After Returning From a 10 Year Break

Partially right.

Most of the major market hubs originally cropped up because they where also major mission hubs. Their acess to multiple regions was also a major factor and the main driver behind why Jita became the largest. But their mission hub status came first. (Which is why most of the other hubs are 2+ jumps from the region boundaries instead of right on them. But that is also part of what has hindered their growth)

Rens and hek are a bit of a weird case. Since its two hubs right next to one another. Which hinders the growth of both (and why they are the 2 smallest)

Both of those companies make largely single player games and both have had their fair share of controversies over their games. For CD Projekt Red it was DRM, then graphics quality in Witcher 3, and most recently trademark enforcement over Cyberpunk 2077.

Rockstar has had a ton of controversy, but most of it hasn’t been with its fans, at least until the recent mod controversy.

Of these the one that hews most closely to the sort of issues CCP and other MMO devs have run into is the GTA V Mod controversy, because suddenly Rockstar has found itself practically in the MMO business with GTA V online.

Otherwise if you’re looking for things that mirror the sort of stuff Eve players complain about of course you’re not going to find it from devs that mostly deal with single player games. That has nothing to do with those devs being significantly different in approach or practices from Eve and CCP, it’s just because they’re making single players games that generally involve fewer updates, less interaction with players, and therefore fewer opportunities for lasting controversy.

I think part of this is the weird region borders in that area. There’s large swaths of space where you can see Hek or Rens, but you can never see them both at the same time. Also Eve Uni used to be down near Hek for quite a while which probably contributed to its growth and staying power. I wouldn’t be surprised if trade volume there has dropped now that the Uni has moved.

if I remember correctly, hek also has the highest concentration of HS FW agents which makes it a big hub for the warzone.

Hek is not considered the minmatar trade hub by CCP, since they allow citadels to be anchored in the system. That should have a positive effect on the market size though, for citadels to compete with the Boundless Creation station.

Well, my account has reverted to alpha and it’s going to stay that way, unfortunately. In real life, scammers, suicide bombers, griefers, exploiters etc…actually have real world consequences whereas they are non-existent in this universe. It’s the biggest hypocritical point of the game and what I think is the biggest insult to the players that put food on CCP’s table. It’s amazing how many have falling for it out of desperation for a good space MMORPG. (i guess lack of alternatives up until now as well)

  1. What risk is there in creating a suicide, griefing alpha alt for that player? Nothing. What skills does it take to do this? None. What is the reward?

I could easily list other ways this game is taking it’s player base for suckers but why bother. It’s meant as a message from me to CCP, not to any of the community per say. The players that realize this have already left. The players that haven’t realized it are in denial (and as a comical side-note, likely have CCP’s “HTFU” incredibly embarrassing attempt at a rap video on their Youtube playlist) or have not played long enough to see what is going on exactly.

C’mon CCP, harden the ■■■■ up take this thing all they way. You wanna suicide gank someone in high-sec? Well, in real life, you’d be jailed, killed etc. You wouldn’t re-spawn in a pod with little or no consequences. Oh wait, you can’t make it “THAT” realistic, because then no one would play it as your only means of content wouldn’t exists. But after all, this is just a video game and thus dictated by a series of 0’s and 1’s. But it’s like “real life” when it’s the only content available, but “too” realistic when it means you’d have to actually create content to keep players interested.

And that point alone is how you are all being scammed, by the biggest scam in EVE.

*edited for the people who missed the point entirely"

The funny part, EvE is not a space sim, it’s more second life in a space setting with wild west or less rules. If you are looking for a space sim, you are probably better off with Elite.

You failed to address the actual point of my post by nitpicking one word.

Nope, I exactly nailed it. You are complaining about the harsh and unfair environment EvE is set in. But this is the key to EvE’s existence until now.

Man my point had nothing to do with harshness or fairness. Like I said, you missed the point and that’s fine. I’d expect the people left in the game to not really get it. As I said, this post wasn’t for you, so stop trying to invalidate my view. Just move on.

Then what’s your point? Can you put it in two-three sentences?

See my vids man… any new player can plex on others isk if they want. Its not hard to do. twitch.tv/AGSperry All you need is a magnate and a wreathe and few skills to use a few core modules.

but most new players don’t rage quit their streams when they die like you do.

just watched you fail in suroken to scoop anything. maybe you arent the right choice in giving advice on anything XD XD:grin::grin::grin::grin:

You should try it yourself and you will realize some things.

Honestly, you lack understanding on many different levels and blaming your own shortcomings on someone else is quite lazy.
