So I started playing EVE two weeks ago.
And I immediately created an account from Steam, created a character, played, but then decided to create an account not through Steam, but directly. And in my launcher there was an account that I created in Steam and one that was directly, well, that is, two accounts but with different emails
But I’m sitting here wondering if I’ll be banned for this?
well that’s how paranoid I am
I wouldn’t want to play for 10 - 15 years and then your account will be banned
nope, you’re good.
You’re fine.
It’s allowed to have multiple accounts in EVE, it’s very common even.
It’s more beneficial to have multiple accounts with the same e-mail though than different e-mails, as you can then get cheaper subscriptions for your additional accounts if they’re all connected to the same e-mail address, just in case you ever consider to subscribe multiple at the same time. (At least I think this offer still exists.)
You are even allowed to log in both accounts you have at the same time if both of them have an Omega subscription!
Just be aware that if either is Alpha you’re not allowed to log in the other at the same time, but it’s fine to have multiple accounts.
Speaking from my experience, if you want to migrate the Steam account and consolidate them without having to invoke Steam, just log into the main webpage using the Steam button on the site. Then go into to the account settings and change your password. The website will automatically prompt you to create a user ID for this Steam account, the next time you log into the Eve launcher, you can add the old Steam account to your Eve launcher. Later if you want, you can even change or update your email address from the account settings on the main webpage.
