This is a good defining statement.
I used to be a Jingoist of the Khanid Kingdom, I’ve since grown. And while I still hold a personal connection to my old home and people, I’m very happy to be a patriot of my new homeland.
I guess the OP was trying to warn of the dangers of blind faith and extremism.
