Nerf Ganking Megathread

This is absolutely not like situation in eve, here’s a better analogy.

You own an hotel and i am a guest, but there are bugs in the beds (let’s call those gankers) and i ask you to call an exterminator or i will go to another hotel give them my money. Lets call ‘you’ in this analogy CCP and the hotel is named EVE.

I am not on YOUR private property, if you are another client, nor am i asking the government anything. Just basic business, answer your clients or you wont have any.

That makes the assumption that the majority want safety.

They do actually, just like the vast majority of human beings. Didnt some griefer cry about this subject getting 2 or 3 new threads a week? Right.

Literally the further you go from jita the safer you are!

Eve is the safest it’s ever been. And the pcu is in decline.

You can plot a line showing the decline in players as space became safer.

That tells a different story.

But say you are right. I’m sure when those players realise that mining in safety for less than 1mill isk per hour will be the new norm they will re-evaluate their priorities.

Yes, as with anything else. you get less by doing stuff in safety and more when you put yourself at risk. Wheres the problem? Make low sec more relevant and null sec maybe less centered around huge blocs and more open, and high sec safe. Just made a plan for ccp there, i’ll take only 15% of the benefits thanks.

nah…

Ill continue the story for you to understand…

The Goverment(CCP)
makes changes…you can longer even box/fight with me, cause i dont own my own house.

Yet i can eat your food and take your money when ever I please.

The goverment removes your fruit trees and puts them in a place it doesnt patrol.
I feel entitled to always strip your other food bearing plants of their best produce…

You try to take mystuff, you try to make me move out…
I call you a griefer and refuse to acknowledge your rights, cause in my mind your an old rich bastard that can afford to give me what i want, including leaving me in peace as i dance naked in your living room…

What happens next…is you will get a weapon, and you will use it, and you will be happy to be rid of me.(ganking)

Wrong. You do not own EVE, ccp does. We are its clients we do not own any part of it. You cannot compare the game with a private property this argument is immensely flawed.

Any more vague generalities you want to throw around?

Less of plan and more “we need to level up” and “build back better”

Empty useless statements that mean nothing have no detail or substance used a feeble attempt to break the game. Stop

You couldnt be more vague yourself.

I’ve given you very detailed posts on the problem which you refuse to read and don’t address in any way.

Maybe I seem vague because you don’t read what I’m saying

More false accusations, can you start giving arguments instead of spitting venom

ah, ok

So i dont own an astrahus any more than you…

None of us owns the ships or anything else, not even the ISK or even PLEX…

So EvE is a sandbox full loot PvP game, where one is expected to take personal responsibility for getting blown up or not, yes?

Here you are deforming my words again. Your analogy was about the game being YOUR house, stick to it.

no go back and read it…
the analogy

was me living in YOUR house, and nothing you could do about it despite my stupidity or entitled ways of doing stuff in YOUR house.

I have. Removing ganking will result in the following

-more supply less demand. Tanking prices of several goods.
-will result in less diversity in space. Everyone in highsec will fit the same. No risk means no need to consider defense.
-hi-sec players will have a “ship for life” as no danger.
-space will feel less dynamic. We no longer will experience flying into a system and seeing something happening.
-high sec courier services go out of business. Why pay a specialist when you are invincible and can do it yourself.
-in theory a player and there alts could park a freighter at a moon in 0.5 and get their alts in hulks to fill it and none could do anything to stop them.

So much broken. For further details on the above refer to my previous “wall of text”

But it’s not my house either. It’s ccp’s house. Both of us are merely paying residents. If we want something changed we ask ccp about it, and if they want more clients they make the changes the majority want.

Basic business.

So EvE is a sandbox full loot PvP game, where one is expected to take personal responsibility for getting blown up or not, yes?

Possibly true, but the economy is struggling already due to lack of… everything, so it would be a good thing.

Wrong, most stuff happen in null sec already.

So what?

Low sec needs some love

Would be less for safety and more for convenience, would still save a lot of time to use courrier services.

Indeed, so what.

Can you repeat that in actual english?
