This thread is just bait really, people post and get jumped on by every ganker and supporter around.
The amount of nit pick on anything that Drac writes is absurd , like when he makes a reference about a sentence, yes we could all see there are 3 but its obvious what he ment .

In the same exchange where he was being pedantic about what he meant by using the word “impact” as if he had used it in a discussion with zero context.
The point being language matters. If he is going to get so uppity about how he picked the word “impact” specifically for all these reasons because he didn’t want to/believe/ suggest he was describing a “problem” then it only stands to reason that he had gave similar thought to describing a “paragraph” as a sentence.
In other words it matters when he thinks his true opinions are shining through. But doesn’t matter any other times.
It’s just another example of inconsistent and contradictory behaviour that he displays every time he posts.
So yes…… I agree. When people are discussing a problem and someone appears in the discussion and says “no that’s not it. The real impact is here” it is obvious what they meant. But as ever we get the back track dance, sone edited posts and the whole “what I actually meant was”……. A forum troll equivalent of “I’m not racist but……”.

At this point, Dracvlad could consume a living, breathing baby in front of everyone, and Githany would still send him a like, despite now having one less active member in her corporation.

Maybe Githany has future sight (or thinks so anyway) and sees the baby would become a “griefing ganker” as it grows up so considers this as an act of justice.

I’ve tried to engage Drac in an honest discussion, and get things like:
- him accusing me of arguing in bad faith
- moving the goal posts
- arguing over the meaning of words (definitional retreat)
- dodging questions/avoiding the crux of my argument
- complaining about the tone of my arguments (tone policing fallacy)
- complaining about me using the word the word “nerf”
- and more
Of course, I can’t fault him for accusing me of arguing in bad faith, as I feel that way about several people myself. But, it does have a tendency to shut down discourse when one side keeps accusing you of it. So, I’ve been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, and refraining from openly voicing my suspicions. In fact, I’ve made an honest effort with him as of late, and have (mostly) been behaving myself… and the responses I get give me absolutely no desire to continue to do so.
Look,
- I’ve disagreed with people that I thought were both intelligent and arguing in good faith.
- I’ve disagreed with people that I thought were idiots, but arguing in good faith.
- I’ve disagreed with people people that I thought were highly intelligent, but arguing in bad faith (these people are dangerous adversaries from a forum PvP perspective)
- and then there’s Drac… which appears to be both, an idiot, and arguing in bad faith.
Some people think that he should stop posting. Not me. He’s great for undermining the “nerf-ganker position.” He makes post that aren’t very persuasive, are easy to argue against, and gets people talking (see the inoculation effect). So, as far as I’m concerned, he is more than welcome to post as much as he wants in this thread.
And no, I do not think poorly of Drac because of his positions. I think poorly of him because his arguments, and how he behaves.
Let me put it this way -can you tell that I have a lot more respect for you than I do for Drac?
And, if I’m being completely honest, I did make a post purely to antagonize him earlier. I would like to say that I will do better moving forward, but… um… he kind of makes it hard. So, I’ll try to behave myself (especially if he appears to be trying to get along himself), but no promises.

Actually I do respect you, but you have got a bit too nasty and flippant in more recent posts and I was advising you of that previously, you are now using nasty attachments to have a dig at people and it is sad to see.
You asked me on the basis of it being a problem, which honesty is not what I think. So I made it clear that it was not what I said. But I did answer the rest of your question.

Dracvlad has zero interest in an honest discussion. He is literally incapable of it. Once he says something, his ego cannot admit any error or mistake, so he always doubles down with some rhetorical attempt to ‘prove’ he was right all along. He will 100% always “move the goal posts” and engage in excessively pedantic debates. Recent examples of his behaviour include his repeated allegation that I am three different people, his absurd attempt to coach someone on how to be discretely homophobic without getting banned, and his temper tantrum boycott of the forums (so Dracvlad is no longer posting, he is just pedantically commenting). He is, quite literally, a ‘know it all’ pedant. It’s a complete waste of time to speak with him, he doesn’t even play EvE Online, he just rants to himself in the forums.
Dracvlad’s claim to have “insight” into the ganking community is frankly asinine. He can’t even tell who is who, and has no idea how the ganking community is organized, mainly because his ego prevents him from admitting he doesn’t know what he is talking about (and thus he is incapable of learning anything).
