Nerf Ganking Megathread

You’re already past your limit. I just find your continued attempts to be relevant hilarious. So I read, chuckle, and move on

Strike 1!

How many messages do I have left?

Anyway…

Same time tomorrow?

Kk, Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Striiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike two.

Why is Nickleback here?

You’re good, fam. We’ve had some good conversations in the past, even if we strongly disagreed at some points during some of them

Strike three!

Kanrailoser has been defeated at his own game!

Byeee!

Oh no, whatever would I do if Aiko actually blocked me…

But we all know he can’t because his perpetual need for attention won’t let him possibly turn away the opportunity to be the center of attention…

Same time tomorrow. See ya there.

Only one of the Aikos is a boy.

Thanks for the reply. I do appreciate it.

FWIW I do want to provide feedback that phrases like “incapable of understanding” and “self-imposed ignorance” are blatantly insulting, even if you do imagine weasel-wording in “doubt” and “more or less” type phrasing makes it “gentle” or “softer”.

I am not an extremist in reading your text as-is and finding it as such, and I would suggest perhaps both of us could use improvements to each of our self-imposed ignorance (and I use this term not for the hostility I understand, but for the benign meaning of your original post). I do agree that we stem from different ideologies and do plan to reread the other discussion – it just bums me out that you attempt to identify my barriers to understanding yet remain incapable of seeing how your own language erects similar one-way-visible barriers.

But, but, but it makes for some interesting reading though!

And chuckle at the banter.

who tf are you? As much as I appreciate the compliment, I am sorry to inform you that I have 0 alts, There are many that can confirm this, I refuse to be known as anything other than my true self, call it vanity. and to those that speak of me to which I have never had the pleasure of a direct conversation, WOW- does this mean I am eve notorious?

The March Hare stood up, banged the table with a thumperous paw to call the tea party to order and exhaled in one breath;
“FOREVER MORE LET IT BE KNOWN THAT MY TRUE NAME IS FJPIKACHU AND I RESENT ALLEGATIONS OTHER WISE!” he declared, in no uncertain terms.

Saying Gf after a gank isn’t automatically farming salt.

It is a little disingenuous.

By the nature of a gank you have done everything in your power to give yourselves every advantage in numbers etc before you gank and pretty much know the outcome of the fight.

It would be like blobbing a guy in a pve fit hac with 50 frigates including ewar and logi and the saying Gf.

A good fight isn’t one where you know the out come before you begin. It’s one where both sides have a chance get some thrill out of it and if you are lucky learn something.

It would be more genuine to say something like ‘better luck next time’, or ‘thanks for the kill’.

Surely ‘gf’ is just a formality…and from the loser’s perspective its a lot easier to respond with ‘gf’ than type a long sentence when trying to flee in a pod. I mean, maybe most of the people who get ganked and podded are precisely those who hang around to type ’ that was my last Mackinaw…how dare you evil psychopaths target me !’ or worse.

If it’s just a formality I would say don’t say it. If you don’t believe in it.

Wouldn’t take you much longer to say ‘thanks’ you could even just type tx if that is too much to type out. I appreciate you have to spread your fingers that much further apart to reach the keys though.

The other thing is GF has two interpretations. Good fight being one and get f****d being the other. If you just rofl stomped them thanks might go down better than a potentially miss understood gf.

The fight isn’t just the combat, but the battle of wits between the hunter who’s trying to spring a trap and the hunted who’s trying to avoid getting caught in that trap.

I like when the hunter gives a ‘gf’. It’s like saying ‘you were a worthy opponent’.

As the victim I give a ‘gf’ as an indication that I’m a good sport and there’s no hard feelings.

But the ‘fight’ extends beyond the short duration weapons are used. It is also all the events, fitting, what route to take, etc, leading up to it…on both sides. It would be bad sportsmanship for me to type ( even though it would be true when I lost a Gnosis recently ) that I was a fool to not use my scout alt that was in the area…as that would be to denigrate the achievement of the victor. So for me, ‘gf’ means ’ yeah, you outsmarted me’. The ‘fight’ itself was a foregone conclusion…1200 DPS Praxis vs Gnosis…the Praxis was always going to win.

That it took 90 seconds to do so was fun, though.
