It is extremely clear that JJ’s ‘conversation’ consists entirely of him lecturing us with claims for which he provides zero evidence, and then accusing everyone else of being evasive and ‘not engaging in the conversation’ when they point that out.

Eve might not die without ganking but you sure as hell would be killing a lot of peoples play style and that is not ok.

No, you need actual FACTS to back up your claim that a problem even exists in the first place. You are trying to find a ‘solution’ without even establishing with factual data that there is even a problem in the first place.
Again I ask…where is your actual evidence that ‘player numbers are falling due to ganking’.
I mean duels and war dec will still be there. There is abyssal proving ground as well which is a lot of fun. But maybe there is a way to keep ganking in a high sec if you really are pissed at someone. Like a 1B isk Concord ticket you use to go gank someone if they are being toxic. I know just another money-making deal, there may be better ideas out there. Maybe you higher concord to kill the toxic person, not PvP but the point it keeps the community in check.
I know you didn’t bring the toxic part but it was still on the mind on how to handle it.

Yeah I see your point, but it is a lot of work to do it. We all talk around opinion and I am fine with that. We all play the game a lot and your feeling of the what is going on in game means something.
I am very intuned to the health of CCP financially, PCU count, and looking at ways the game can be stabilized, not even really saying turned around.
Maybe I start making little links in OneNote for the ambush one day.

Lol. Axl’s killboard has stuff on it practically every day. I myself have 11 killboard records just in the past week. We are involved in Eve. Jesse W James, on the other hand, has zero records on killboard and does not even exist there. How about YOU start getting involved. Then you might have a clue what you are talking about.
Saying “stop drinking the coolaid” after I just gave you a number of logical arguments for how the removal of ganking would harm the game is the kind of low effort response you accuse others of offering.
Thousands of thousands? Hundreds? It doesn’t make any odds if people aren’t leaving because of ganking. I put forwards a simple reason why this isn’t the case.
Hauling would be at risk simply because it wouldn’t be necessary. Everyone could just buy their own freighter to auto pilot stuff to high sec. You wouldn’t need complex fleets of webbers scouts and logi to get stuff where they need to go.

However to answer your point EVE needs money and the revenue is dropping but you are going to blame that on gankers and not the sudden hike on pricing making people unsubscribe accounts. TBH, it would be cool if CCP did a full blown study. Report the results, one way or the other (in terms of ganking affecting/not affecting player retention) it would be a fascinating read and a great prompt for further research, especially in other games.

Things have been kind of dead lately.
Hunting in low sec has been sparse to say the least the last few weeks. Possibly due to school being back in session? Not sure.
Even high sec shenanigans haven’t been fruitful. It seems people are taking better care of their MTUs.

This would require CCP to fully understand why the game works as well as it does. I think CCP are as much in the dark as we are.
They have made something, they have some idea of how it works but not a good enough idea to really analyse it. That is why we have to wait so long between genuine content updates.
I don’t have it Altara is my point, like you don’t have it the other way. It isn’t data I can go find, unfortunately.
I can provide people like a sandbox play style without PvP. If that in principle, supports no ganking then yes I can provide that. But I would assume you could find it the other way around.

I can’t say one way or the other. But my inclination is this. Currently the state the CCP is in, and the acquisition of the game by a new parent company I agree. The study could be done, but tbf, it wouldn’t be “simple” and would require some resources and personal to pull it off.
Honestly I think investors would ultimately be interested in the results because player retention = profits. (Overall)
No not the case on this one, I am an active player in the game. I haven’t done everything because I haven’t ganked in high sec. I have done just about everything else. Some I wish I could do more, some activities were not for me, like exploring just not good at it.
I would say I am your average player whatever that is.
