I totally agree that the ‘scores’ and ‘rankings’ are irrelevant…and that silly graphic that shows how ‘dangerous’ anyone is.
But…killboard does provide an amazing and detailed history of a person’s encounters. I can look at it and think ’ ah yes…that time I met the 1100 DPS Praxis at a gate camp '. With a little investigation I can even get the fitting of that Praxis.
And it’s not like kills/losses are totally ‘irrelevant’. I mean…wtf are we all playing for if not kills ? Does anyone give a damn how much ISK anyone has ? Or how much stockpile of Void L or some turret weapon. Does anyone really care how many blingy Paladins anyone has ? No. The only thing that demarcates anyone being ‘better’ or having more success in the game is kills/losses. There is otherwise no point in playing !
If having a better kill/loss record than others is not important…then nothing in the game is important.
( My God, Lucas is replying literally as I post this…Lucas, do you even get any sleep or are you sitting there 24/7 ? )

On the side, I wonder if Repetitive Stress Injury on the forums is a thing.
Oh, and ganking doesn’t need nerfing. More people need to undock and run risks, contribute to the economy by making a few fair losses, learn to cope with negative emotions of loss and anger as well, and become well-rounded eve players. On the other hand, don’t settle for low quality kills. Tell your attacker what he could have done better - politely and classy.
I claim the record for the most times someone has asked for the thread to be closed. Please put us out of our misery.
No chance, even more threads would pop up on the same subject. This keeps it contained as much as possible.
Also, I don’t think ganking in hisec needs to be nerfed.
I derive enjoyment from griefing.

Facts don’t matter when it comes to “nerf ganking”, only emotions. The discussion has never been one about fairness and game design but about failure in playing the game, despite the OP, using emotions as an alibi.
The proof is in the observation that in the last 1500 posts - at least the non-deleted ones - there have been no new elements. Emotions are never creative, they never come with solutions, only demands.
And then there are those who just want to harvest tears by destroying established playstyles, because they can, for shits and giggles, with prejudice. But since “gankers will not be touched” - as per Mr Rattati’s own words - who cares.

I like how you make every effort to make anyone who supports the idea of hisec ganking look like someone who does not know the difference between ganking and griefing. You don’t seem to, so that makes you a griefer when you gank, or rather ganked

Ah, a misread again. It was about the number of posts, not the emotions that may have been in them.
You should get an answering machine to reduce the workload, because it’s very clear that a lot of people feel quite strongly about hisec pvp (ganking, not griefing) and they will respond to responses
It’s possible you feel like being harassed. Others may feel harassed too because they receive responses from you all the time. Now who’s to say who is right and who is wrong ? But then I point at August 27th and 440 posts from a single individual since then (not counting the ones that were deleted), and the explosion of this thread. Correlation or causality ? At least it is not a reliable parameter of how important this “hisec ganking” thing is.
Griefing, on the other hand, is always important to address decisively, even if it were only one case per year. And on that everyone agrees.
