We know.
Fair enough. Though advocating for a change and justifying the change based on a statistic you yourself brought up only to respond like this when its questioned………. Not a strong look
I don’t see it as a PvP server, I just see population moving into low if you like NPC stations and or WH/Null if you don’t care either way. Call it the great migration if you will and if there are so many people that love PvP.
I think what you will find is a bunch of individuals getting picked on by corps, and the PvP will no longer be fun, that is 100% speculation. And that same though this applies similarly to high sec, being ganked isn’t fun but for one side.
And there lies the 10,000 words written above on the what if’s.
Cheers,
OP
- Okay can you please provide the data that people like PvP in high sec.
- Can you please provide the data that people like getting ganked and then talked to afterwards.
- Can you please provide the data that people will move into high sec if PvP is removed.
- Can you please provide the data that markets will be ruined if PvP destruction is removed.
I hope you see my point…
Cheers,
OP
Who makes the decisions? You or CCP?
I hope you see my point…

I/You/CCP are not making a decision, from this thread, this thread is a discussion. A virtual conversation between players and even non-players can join here. I hope you were not under the impression of something different.
I hope that clears up what we are doing here. Wasting time mostly.
But lets keep having the discussion maybe something good comes from it.
Cheers,
OP
Seems like a waste of time.
I hope you see my point…

With that post, I absolutely do.

OP
I’m playing EvE right now, what are you doing?
Cheers!
AQD
Wishing I was playing Eve Online. If you are trolling me, your meta is really deep as I have no idea where this is going.
Cheers,
OP
It sounds like you are not playing EvE, but I am.

If I can attempt a translation: “You’re spending a lot of time arguing on the forums compared to playing the game.” I often interpret Aiko’s consistent criticism to different people over time as: “Play the game more and learn how the game actually is before suggesting changes to it”.
Newsflash. In the whole burden of proof arena its generally up to the party proposing the change to provide the evidence that the change will not have an adverse effect and is in fact implementable. And quoting from above:
So I’m arguing against a million variables that you haven’t put the thought or development into. I’m playing devils advocate and highlighting areas where its possible your proposals may fall down. Taking a “somebody else will work it out. It will all be all right on the night approach” with me and then demanding i provide evidence is again……….not a strong look
But ill provide what i can
Am i a valid data point? I mean i don’t actually PVP but i view it as essential to the game. Do gankers count? Do war deccers count such as they are these days. Do industrialists count given they are building the ships to replace the once’s that have blown up?
I think you will find that you are heavily mis representing what i said early. At no point did i say players liked being ganked. What i said was that the new NPE where GM’s are making contact and explaining what happened and providing replacement ships is helping with retention. That doesn’t equate to the player liking being ganked. It equates to a better understanding and acceptance of how the games mechanics work. CCP devs have been on a number of podcasts where they have indicated that this has resulted in an improvement. I’d go searching for the episode of Talking in Station I remember it being discussed on but since I have to find your trig data you can find my you tube vid
Can you provide evidence they wont? I’m basing my ASSUMPTION on the very real number of threads on this topic where countless players are begging for safe krabbing and eliminating ganking. I think its a perfectly reasonable position that if a player can make 50mill isk per hour risking an 150mill ship every time that the same player if they are risk adverse would accept earning 20mill an hour that they can afk with zero risk of gankers.
Frankly if you spend anytime on the forum you must see the multiple threads on this topic.
Can you provide guarentee they wont be? Ill come back to my freighter example above. If NPC’s can’t gank the freighter the freighter has no risk. If the freighter has no risk then billions of ore, modules, ships and whatever else that would have been destroyed isn’t being destroyed. It doesn’t matter how much ventures your trig style NPC’s are killing if 6bill freighter kills are off the menu. Whatever way you slice it that will have impacts. Less for industrialists to do because now we have to deal with the consequences of a ship for life.
I
I’ll say it. I’m one of the most active gankers in the game, some say I am the most active ganker in the game. I know that I receive fan mail, from the people I gank. They thank me. They send me isk. They love it. They come back and ask me to do it again. They are playing a video game, and they are enjoying it, even when they lose. CCP has access to my EvEmails and private conversations. They know it’s not all hatemail and tears. Some miners are very dead, and very happy.
Not everyone is a crybaby permawhiner.

The only thing I’ll add is that there’s generally two mindsets:
- People that take the game as it is and try to play it and outplay each other. Changes to the game view CCP as a chaotic, tempermental, semi-capable, demi-god, and it’s just a matter of surviving the demi-god’s wrath whichever way the winds of fickle fates blow. In effect, they are living the game and know its ins and outs.
- People that dream up “Eve but X”, where X can be Captains Quarters, Gank Nerfs, etc. And demand CCP make their changes. They would play the game [more] except for some small reality holding them back. So in effect they don’t really play the game, they just have a self-important idea of what the game ought to be to make them play it.
This is why changes proposed by players (ex: nerfing cloaky camping) are scrutinized heavily to see under which philosophy they’re coming from. Ganking subjects fall into the “tired, multiple-decade-long, all horses have been beaten to death” latter category.
Ok, but have you considered writing an essay comparing myself with Cthulhu? You will receive extra credit if you format your essay as an epic illustrated poem.

I am sorry @Etch_Masuka if that is how the forums have to be, then well I will never get access to any of the data needed to make an argument, nor would you get any data for a valid argument. The forums should be Dev post, For sale ads, and Alliance recruitment.
I liked the effort and counter on my questions, but to answer them all, neither of us can say one way or the other. If you wanted it to be a factual thread, which I don’t think any of the threads are, unless like a sales ad.
I guess maybe we have reached the end of no facts. Kind of sad I thought this would go on forever
Cheers,

I began, but my mind began to cloud with the shadows of madness. I am far too weak a human to attempt such a feat. Just reflecting on that tepid experience, I can hear the faint echoes of The Call, colors indescribable conjuring in my mind.
Ok Ms AQD, we know you are “a cutie”… but what does the Q stand for?
Do we all have to cheer now?
