No…I haven’t abandoned the AG. The weapons trade arose entirely as a result of fitting up all my AG ships, and realising how easy it was to get past all the gankers if one just does lots of faster smaller trips rather than one huge one. I also got a little distracted attacking flashy people for some PvP practice…where I lost but did a lot better than I expected.

I literally have said this a billion times, and Dracvlad, “King of AG”, originally said that was stupid but now has backtracked and said it works.
Again you’ve proven ganking is only a problem if you’re bad at EVE.
Soon you will come full circle and realize those peeps don’t deserve defending. They deserve death and salt mining until they either learn to EVE or HTFU.

It’s not ganking that needs a buff or a nerf or any ship that needs a buff . Please watch this video, it’s why ganking exist in the first place.

Here you go, Etch. This is my summary. You can also use it as a guide for how to argue on in the forums, if you like. Use the first paragraph to plug for any change to the game’s mechanics you want. Then pivot into a ‘save the newbies’ paragraph so that people can’t disagree with you. Finally, attack their sense of fairness if they have one or call them a troll if they don’t respond to that.
Players leave because [Insert something you do not like]. If we [Insert personal preference] it would be better for the game (and me, but I’m definitely not just thinking of myself). People who disagree with me are either stupid or malicious and so I do not have to engage with them or their arguments, but I can cherry pick isolated statements to harp on that suit my agenda.
If you want people to keep playing Eve, you can’t kill them when they’re poor. You have to wait until they have spent enough time to acquire expensive things and then kill them if you want to retain players. Note that ‘poor’ and ‘new’ are arbitrary terms that I apply to anyone who makes terrible financial decisions, like putting all their wealth into one ship, or who lose an engagement because they assumed other players were not a threat. I will also assert that any player is poor or new in the absence of evidence or even in spite of evidence to the contrary if this assertion can be used to my benefit should someone believe it because I repeat it enough.
If you’re a reasonable person, you should at least compromise with me instead of being hard headed. That way I can get you to agree on something closer to my position and then restart the argument and have you compromise as many times as it takes to get you as close to agreeing with me as possible. If I can’t convince you by argument ad nauseum, then you leave me no choice but to exploit your desire to be fair and reasonable by making it seem like your disagreement with me is evidence to the contrary. If you are unaffected by this appeal, then you must be a troll.

Not going to argue if its fair, good or bad. Legal or illegal…
But people claiming there are no exploits in the ganking world and that people only gank for profit are not helping the discussion because its BS.
An exploit is by definition illegal in game.
If someone is using an exploit they should be reported and CCP will investigate and take action as required.
What Cherti has been doing is accusing players of exploiting when CCP’s own guidance says that the activity she is referring to is not considered an exploit.
Nobody is saying exploits don’t exist and nobody is saying exploits shouldn’t be punished. What people are saying is:
Cherti, yourself and whoever don’t get to decide what an exploit is. CCP has defined those exploits. Just because players don’t like a behaviour doesn’t mean it’s an exploit.
You cant just accuse people of exploiting without providing evidence. Anecdotes and wild stories are not evidence. Yesterday we were hearing tales of someone multi - boxing fleets of 25-100 pilots. Now 25 I could believe……. But 100? Exaggeration and over reaction erode credibility.
And finally if cherti, you or anyone else believes someone is engaging in an exploit a mechanism exists for that to be reported to CCP and investigated. That way the player can actually be dealt with which is in the interests of everybody in the game. To me that seems far more productive than engaging in he said / she said on the forum.

HS ganking now is a direct result of low not being worth it and HS war decs being nerfed.
