Nerf Ganking Megathread

You don’t need my isk.

Players like Silly do so he can spend it in silly ways to learn. AG is not a bad thing, just silly. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Any new player willing to throw themselves on their sword on the forums, take in the chin and still come back for more is worth investing in. The forums “might” even get a good reputation? And we might even retain a good player. I don’t have to agree with him to respect him.

I’m not Mike, but I do what I can.

ISK FOR AIKO

:rage:

Now you’re just prostituting yoursef and that’s beneath even you. :smirk:

Edit: Where do you live again? There are more dark sides that can be changed.

But not consistently. It often depends on the audience and who is actively posting at the time.

Yourselfs who? :smile::sweat_smile::laughing::grinning::smile::kissing_smiling_eyes::star_struck::partying_face:

Uh. No idea what this means but I take it you admit there is no exploit and you were wrong.

Thankee

I think tenacity, rather than ISK, is the real currency of Eve. I’m simply not a quitter. I don’t care about looking stupid…it provides some humour and beneath all the ‘Silly’ I’m actually learning Eve far faster than most noobs precisely due to all the ‘feedback’.

As for the ‘dark side’…who can say

I just hope I don’t turn out to be the offspring of Darth Danuja.

Only because I started to partake in activities like nefarious transport and trade of weapons…that made ganking more fun to escape. There is a real sense of ‘beating the gankers’. A miner’s take on ganking, which is all I originally had, is quite different…largely because of how boring it is sitting there watching a laser all day. There’s nothing exciting about mining, and there’s nothing exciting about being ganked while mining ( not that I ever have ). But dashing about right under the nose of Aiko and her crew…is fun !

As for AG…no, I have no desire to be in it to ‘save’ anyone. It has far more to do with me wanting to be a ‘lone wolf’ sort of player, just attacking out of the blue.

I’ve been trying to get this across, Cilla. But some folks want the secret of success in any venture to be something which doesn’t involve their having to abandon long-established practices and attitudes.

I only know the ganker side, really, so I’ll use that. People like James 315, Aiko Danuja, the Kusion family; they don’t log in for a couple of hours after lunch on a Sunday, and then call it a day.

Their work-rate is or was phenomenal - and I’m sure it’s also true of the more successful people in any of EVE’s activities.

When James was publishing daily his ‘Minerbumping’ blogposts, I was turning some of them into audio/video work and logging in to the Game to chase miners around. It required a level of commitment that some people understandably don’t have or make the leisure to achieve.

But you don’t have to do EVE 24/7 in order to have fun. Just be organised and methodical, is my way.

I’m genuinely pleased that you’re progressing, and enjoying the journey!

And…

And…

Preeem understanding right there, well said and well understood.

Yes, I was at Absolute Order HQ in Oipo last night when Aiko and her crew were active for hours in local systems and in Oipo itself. I even went after them, though unlike my AG toon ( which has 30 ships or more ) my Absolute Order account doesn’t have a huge number of ships.

But its fun that I can tease Aiko that the Safety scout ran away when I approached in my Gnosis.

That was always some great reading…

Yes, but why set your sights on the lowest-hanging fruit of “attacking out of the blue” players who are in the process of being destroyed by an NPC kill trigger, and who always expect neutrals to interfere in their activities anyway, and plan accordingly?

There are better ways to do things. For example, I am also a “lone wolf sort of player” and am also “just attacking out of the blue.” The difference is that I am at war with nearly 30,000 players who aren’t flying disposable suicide ships, and are actually engaging in various forms of gameplay, which often includes them actively trying to kill me.

You’re aspiring toward garbage-tier gameplay, and this will in turn make you into a garbage-tier player like Dracvlad. Because you’ve now come to the conclusion (consciously or subconsciously, I don’t know) that I was right regarding the concepts I talked about before, surely you now also have to consider the possibility that I’m right about what I’m saying here as well? Or will you always have a verbal contrarian attitude, despite your actions saying differently?

You constantly declaring it is not an exploit wont stop the punishment when they decide to wield it. They let you exploit for now because of the political aspect and nothing more. Do not think for a second intimidating CCP is going to make you friends with them. In the background they give back items of every single person who asks that is being ganked by exploit.

The big difference is that a month ago I simply wouldn’t have had the gumption ( or DPS ) to attack anyone, whereas since then I’ve had my first ‘genuine’ PvP ( I lost ) where I attacked another ship. I made a dog’s dinner of it, forgot to switch on my shields, forgot to get out my drones, kited too far away…but still managed to do a lot of damage, and I survived the encounter for almost an entire minute of shields going back and forth. A good fight !

But waiting around for flashy people to attack is boring. Plus the guy I attacked admitted to being ‘bait’ and was tanked up to the eyeballs.

So you have a wardec on 30,000 people ? Isn’t that something that only takes place in nullsec ?

I think you are very confused. Have a lie down.

Keep going, keep going, expose yourself. Tell me what you do that is not an exploit. TALK YOU COWARD! At least the leader of safety boldly declared it. You are a coward.

Nobody wants that. These days even the missus barely tolerates it.

Expose your exploits or keep silent. Your constant words of what is not an exploit wont change that it is an exploit.
