Nerf the webs in ESS!

Hugiinn right now is absolute power creep with abyssal rolled webs 105+ km range is broken at this point. Even with sending lachesis there with another ship as pair, hugginn still has 55km locking range with at least 2 sensor sensor boosters.

Taking marauders out of ESS was not an issue.

ESS should have area effect to nerf the max range of webs that way it avoids nerfing the actual mods or ships, but least gives chance for ppl soloing ESSes to get out.

How about no?

If you want to get out, you’ve got to outplay your enemies. Not nerf webs.

Have you considered bringing links to boost the Lachesis’ damp strength, overheating, damp rigs and bling damps?

I’m not saying it’s a good economic choice, but surely you can bring a Huginn’s range much, much closer than that. In response the Huginn could too use hardening command bursts from a second ship to recover some range, but at least you should see that coming on dscan.

Or you could, I don’t know, shoot the Huginn? Recons aren’t really known for having a brick tank.

NOOO CPP please let me robbing ESS without engaging.

Here’s a Huginn with 2 heated sensor boosters, 300km targeting range:

Now target the same Huginn with a Lachesis with 3 heated, scripted, rigged and command linked damps:

6.55km range.

Is that short enough for you?

The Lachesis

Pair it with a command ship or T3C for info links. Proteus could be nice for both skirmish links for speed and info link bonuses perhaps?

At what point where you told that you could solo everything in this game?

Why not remove ESS at all as obligatory thing and turn it back for how it was into an optional upgrade? Cos really including futher changes took place after ESS massive change and new mechanic implementation it has become 99% useless for both native crabs and PVP-pilots craving for fight!

Reasons:

  1. max possible ESS income is too low to cover all costs even for 5 man fleet
  2. low income systems - 5% chance of PVP response on bank inrtusion - waste of time in terms of PVP content
  3. high income systems - 90% chance of major blob form Power Block Flashform - waste of time in terms of PVP content
  4. as TQ small-scale and AT PVP-pilot I see 1% reason for me to provide high-end PVP content and entertain Power Block Blobers for such a low level income
  5. market prices for Reserve Bank Keys are too high and barely cover any costs

Edit: Only thing I suppose could help to somehow restore original ESS mechanic role in gameplay process as it was designed back in 2020 is make every succsessful bank intrusion attempt lower Military Index Level by significant amonut, says 1 full level! This will trigger native crabs for response much better.

hah 55 mil senor dampeners ye go take hike ! Not going to feed you more isk or more bling ships just for you to drop overkill fleets on top anyway. Why don’t you speak about third party tools use for intel as automatic alert system for the region in NS? Isn’t local chat and intel chat not good enough already ?

Ha-ha! You so funny!

Combat Recons are not shown on d-scan, genius! Anyways, for each 250+mil huginn u can bring 100mil naga, heres the fit:

Which is exactly why I said that the second ship with links that could support the Huginn is visible on dscan, because I assumed the readers already knew the Huginn itself is invisible on dscan.

Nice damp Naga fit, but the 2 sensor boost Huginn’s targeting range is only reduced by it to 76km rather than 6.5km.

A significant difference.

Then use T2 sensor damps, it reduces the Huginn’s targeting range to 15.4km rather than 6.5km.

Again significantly less than 55km.

(Also I am speaking against automatic third party alert tools. I don’t like their existence either. Just not in this topic as this topic is about someone complaining the game needs a change because they cannot win.)

Yes it all fine dandy il bring 20 ppl you bring 20 ppl blob fest whatever bring Huginn well what ever but situation like 2 v 6 and Huginn on there side good luck with that.

I thought your idea was to fly solo or with one support ship?

Both solo or pair. But for now Huginn is basically “i win button” “get lost we don’t want to fight you” sure we might make it work against 3 maybe 4 but sorry in NS that its usually 6-10 with Huginn in it.

But have you considered doing what I described above?

You complained about the 55km targeting range of the Huginn. I showed how you can get that down to 15km range, or even 6.5km range.

Do you still have a problem with Huginns then?

Why would i want reduce dps on field while being out numbered as well?

I thought your strategy was to run away, which is why you complained the Huginn was stopping you from doing so?

Yes any sensible person would not suicide ship , if the odds are â– â– â– â– . There already â– â– â– â–  when out numbered maybe at least get kill and die in process but offcourse add Huginn top as well cause its not safe enough for you . Anyway it was mistake to post, no point discussing it. Enjoy your NS safe haven.

Thanks for wrongly assuming I’m here to ask for NS safe havens.
I’m here because you complained and appeared to be looking for new fitting info which I was happy to give.

But sure, bye!

If you want to robb ESSs solo, take a stabbed fitted with 100mn afterburner and an expanded probe launcher.

Place combat probes over the ESS and scan constantly… if a Huginn lands, overheat the 100mn and run. By the time they make it in and lock you, you should already be out. It’s not hard…

I actually prefer a Celestis for this job.
They can pack damps
