New Marauders using Abandon, Rokh, Hyperion, and Maelstrom.

I love those hulls, but they are rarely used nowadays.
I like those hulls, so keep everyone’s life simple, add 4 new Marauders using those hulls, could be similar bouns to vargur and existing Marauders, just adding one more bouns to the old t1 battleship hull.

I love those hulls, they are very good-looking and cool. Please find a way to use them more, we shall not let them sleep in the station.

Just off the top of my head, all 4 hulls would need new Bastion animations. If they were going to be similar to existing Marauders they’d probably need something unique.

But yeah, it would be cool to have a T2-based Marauder hull on the Abaddon, Hyperion (Kronos is already based off the Megathron), Rokh and Maelstrom.

Maybe instead of the shield/armor bonus they get a hit point buff instead.

You’re going to have players chine-in that the current Marauders are fine and that we don’t need another T2 battleship class.

The Abaddon and Rokh in particular would offer a lot of potential for gorgeous Bastion animations.

Still I think a T2 variant would be fine.
No need to be marauder in the present sense.

removed: 100% bonus to Tractor Beam range and velocity (it’s not a tractor machine)
removed: 70% reduction in Micro Jump Drive reactivation delay (it’s not a jump machine)

Basically it loses 20% DPS compared to kronos from guns, but gains 33% EHP from armor and more with plates.
Also loses falloff bonus, but I just don’t like that T2 ships have better projection than T1s
however gains 3 smartbombs with double range and double damage.

use cases : able to stand its ground with more rep power and more ehp on the layers, with SB to deal with drones and frigates

We’ve already got a cycle of 4 marauders though.

I think it would be more fun if these ship hulls were used for a different type of T2 battleship for another role than ‘bastion dps’.

Assault battleships, T2 ewar battleships or even some kind of new triage/bastion module for T2 battleship logi would be more interesting than more marauders. Or some new role that doesn’t even exist yet in any of the ship sizes.

Yes, that’s why I proposed a “marauder” with less DPS and more tank, SB damage. The assault one.
Also trying to make it valuable even without bastion, which I consider is a bit too strong and at the same time too restrictive (more about not being logi’d than being stuck).

I would rather a different T2 variant for these ships as mentioned above, but I do want to add in Escort Carriers or Hybrid carriers (one fighter squad with supplemental battleship guns). Ise-class battleship - Wikipedia

As much as hybrid carriers would be kind of neat, fighters are just not in a great place now.

Some kind of assault class (without bastion) might be interesting.

Heavy Assault Battleship ?
With ADC for double the time ?
6 guns 2 utilities high, reduction to neutralizer cost,
50% bonus to guns damage (so 9 effective guns- abby has 8×(1+0.75*5)=11 ; mael 8/0.75=10.7 ; hyperion 6×1.5 = 9 ; rokh 8 ; ), reduction to MWD sig bloom (like HAC and AF) ,
T2 resist profile (the marauders, not the blops),
bonus to gun application (not projection - or at least lower projection bonus than the T1 if any),
bonus to local rep (15% per level) for matar(shield) and gallente(armor), 4% bonus to layer res for carl(shield) and amarr(armor) - the existing bonus.

Say “Abandon” again, I dare you. I double dare you…
