Have you tried approaching the wreck and turning off the MWD?
Not to mention the possibility of manually altering the speed of the ship (part of manual piloting player skill which is handy to develop for various situations such as PvE and PvP beyond just mere salvaging).
.
Whatās the max speed to loot wrecks without flying past?
Depends on your reflexes, how good you are predicting your shipās movement, and how agile your ship is.
You have to get a sense of your shipās capabilities and with practice you can alter your speed efficiently to only slow down as much as needed but not more to accomplish the task and maneuver you wish.
With proper manual piloting you donāt even have to slow down entirely just do a turn around the wreck maintaining most of your speed but because you are turning near it the wreck is in access range longer.
Also depending on the circumstances you could get away with only pulsing your MWD as needed (usually if the wrecks are far away).
And of course a dedicated salvager ship is always better than using your combat ship.
Do you play the game?
Funny how blatant he is that any random observer will notice it.
Imagine using AI to answer a simple question
Sounds to me like you are nasty
Who is using AI?
Also in addition to my earlier comment of ābetter pilotingā to open cans you can use a tractor beam to get and hold a container in range of your ship for looting. Itās pretty useful, my salvage-and-looting Imicus fit uses one.
Yes useful to have. The salvager catalyst on the screenshots Iāve linked also have one and the cormorant fit Iāve linked also mention this as an option for consideration.
Uriel used AI and you know it
Tractor beams are cringe and you know it
Me: When using MWD you fly past wrecks before you can loot them
Uriel: Lower the speed
Me: What speed to do you suggest
Uriel: AI copy pasta
You two are comedy gold as usual.
Yup in EVE things are often complicated. If you tried what I wrote, actually manual piloting to get some practice you could have figured it out. But complaining on the forums is your solution to your problems.
The tractor beam is not intended to be used on ships with MWD
Another completely nonsense take. I donāt even think you play the game let alone consider what other people write here, all you care about trying to incite drama and to troll.
The tractor beams only have a speed of about 600 m/s and their range is only about 24km
I would argue the tractor beams are not intended to be used at all
Then thereās your answer for your earlier question how fast you should go.
You only use it to grab a nearby container / wreck to loot it, not to gather far away wrecks / cans, for that you use an MTU.
Another nonsense take about a tool a lot of people use without problem. Your problem is that you are too lazy and incompetent to actually use it, let alone efficiently.
