what?
the “body in the common sense” was refering to their biology, to the theory that they don’t have “organic bodies with some implants” but that they mix mutaplasmid with organic.
I’ve fallen behind on the Triglavian issues, but I thought the original cruiser captured by CONCORD had surviving crew on board? Why are we still guessing at whether they have bodies or not?Surely CONCORD should tell us this one way or another if they want us digging around in Triglavian space. Fore-warned is fore-armed, and any information about them could be of use to the capsuleers entering Triglavian deadspace. Especially if they are now boarding capsuleer vessels (if it indeed is Triglavians).
I’d like an SOE representative to let us know if it’s possible that the ‘infantry’ mentioned could be of Rogue Drone origin. They have some kind of communication with the Rogue Drones, so should have a view on this one way or another. In addition, it may be a good idea for us to try to improve diplomatic attempts with the Rogue Drones. It would be better for us to work with them and find common ground than continue these infestations and counter-infestation operations.
no, it saw the SOE that asked for crew status. CONCORD never confirmed of denied the presence of a crew.
yea, like they will answer that. It’s one of the most shadowy entity of new eden. And I’m almost sure they already use illegal drone tech. Not even speaking of their association to black market with the blackglass implants.
They work with rogue drones, with sleepers, maybe even with drifter for all we know!
No, SOE have their own agenda and their “humanitarian” act don’t fool me anymore since their complete silence of the kyonoke plague!
As I said, I’d like them too. If it is raised as a question by someone they have to answer (as opposed to a capsuleer they’ll just happily ignore), they may make some kind of statement. If they refused to it would be a sign to me that it was entirely possible.
My main point is that I’d rather rule out the possible ‘known’ reasons for the disappearence of these vessels, rather than jumping straight to ‘OOoooh, there’s something new and scary out there!’
This also reminds me, I ought to start travelling with a larger marine contingent on board.
As a scientist, I agree with you and don’t really think it’s a ‘new’ thing. I tend to get carried away when speaking of the SOE, they really disgusted me during the kyonoke crisis.
On the boarding, I don’t think we have something to fear, our ships are much less susceptible to be boarded.
And even if they do, a simple crack in our capsule render the capture of the capsuleer impossible.
I’d rather carry additional forces than wish I had them when I needed them.
As for SOE, I have no illusions about their ‘charitable’ nature.
UPDATE: We are continuing to monitor the situation in Molden Heath. A report is being drafted for CONCORD on the current threat status. I am also taking special measures as a precaution in case the current threat levels rise.
Okay, that’s … really vague. Does continue to suggest something unusual is going on, though.
At this rate, I may see if Aryth’ll lend me a hundred trillion or so to buy backdoor access to CONCORD’s files…
That is . . . pretty much the opposite of useful or helpful on CONCORD’s part. It’s almost as if they’re trying to be incompetent when it comes to communication with the public.
Seriously, telling everyone “there’s a threat!” while not providing any information on what it is, what kind of threat it might be, or even just saying"we don’t know details?"
That just provides fuel for speculation and panic, while offering no useful information to the public.
This is par for the course for CONCORD. They have never been useful for anything aside from shooting the random ganker.
Sooooo… you’re saying they’re CONCORD?
Yep! That’s them alright!
This is pretty blatantly some attempt at getting as much attention as possible, and generating buzz and conspiracy theories. Pretty amateurish at that.
You all are correct, I don’t know why I keep assuming despite all evidence that CONCORD is somehow both competent and has our best interests in mind.
I blame it on being a good Amarr, and therefore instinctively trusting authority figures.
You should stop doing that. They’re just using you, you know.
Unlike capsuleer groups. They care about you, the linemember. So much.
You should always question authority there, too.
Yes, but I am an authority figure. That would mean not trusting myself.
You might be on to something there.
I’ve made it a point not to trust me since I became a Director, yeah.
I don’t suppose anyone else has drawn the fairly obvious line between infantry and Molden Heath yet?
