The next thing they should do is remove Uedama.
All transit from Amarr to Jita should be through lowsec.

cutting the hubs wouldn’t make it meaningful, just painful cutting the small player from the trade hub action
Even if I’m not deeply invested in the debate itself, it does look like removing Niarja ended up isolating Amarr, which used to be a thriving trade hub. That said, the fact that it happened through player action is one of the coolest things about EVE—major economic shifts driven by actual player decisions, even if the devs had already scripted it.
If Niarja suddenly came back, I think it would be seen as an opportunity more than anything else. Some players would cheer for the convenience and the potential revival of Amarr’s market, others would be curious to see how the economy reshapes itself again, and the rest would treat it as another sandbox moment to exploit, contest, or fight over. In a way, its return could spark new activity, new trade dynamics, and maybe even re-ignite some regional competition.
So even though the original change hurt Amarr’s connectivity, the possibility of change also means new life could flow back into that part of the cluster. EVE’s universe is at its best when it evolves—whether by destruction, rebuilding, or unexpected comebacks.
When you list something for sale, you’re charged a big upfront fee. If it doesn’t sell, that money’s wasted and you have to pay again. This is why finding anything for sale anywhere is getting harder.
That’s because ore haulers are slow and bulky. In Lowsec, that’s a recipe for destruction. You can’t refine it because it won’t sell for nearly as much as compressed ore. I actually travel the entire HS length to Jita and back. It’s worth it to me. I make a bit more doing that then selling in Amarr.
I’ve been able to find just about anything on the market - except for aparels. What really chops my butt is how ridiculously expensive things are now compared to 2015. I checked on a small Alpha SP Injector and the cheapest was 800,000,000isk ![]()
There are a few factors for such prices but whatever the cause, I’ve never met a gamer who loved to grind all day.
you talkin about the small injector, or the Alpha daily injector?
The large injector is 800m
eh kinda..
just looked… Large Skill Injector between 770 and 800mil
small injector 150 mil
alpha injector 50-60 mil which is where it should be
so @Scoutin_On_Empty i have no clue wtf you were talking about
I think I was looking at the Small Injectors or Alpha Injectors. I’ll have to check again, but one of those two was 800M, I saw that price larger than life.
But generally the prices have spiked tremendously across all items.
It’s getting more and more expensive in-game to participate.
I have never understood why anyone transporting between Jita and Amarr need to take an obvious path to destruction. I am thinking Niarja hasn’t been available for 3 years or more. If anyone clicks on set destination and takes the shortest route, they pass through Ahbazon the pirate gate camping system. Vecamia is nearby 2 jumps and seldom gets camped.
If you are patient, you can bide your time, and get through when no one is looking. Impatient players are the meat and potatoes of gate campers. I have lots of tricks in my bag when hauling valuables between these stations. I don’t even play that much, I assume most of those are well known by veterans. I am not telling my secrets, but in many cases the shortest path between two points is not always a straight line.
Amarr might not be number 1 with +1500 spammers, it still a great trade hub. I also trade at Rens, Hek, and Dodixie.
Have fun!
I just looked it up Niarja was moved to Pochven.
I think there should be more trade route breaks into low sec as well. The main thing that is hindering Hek and Dodixie are their proximity to Jita. As for people claiming this hurts smaller players, having more trade hubs helps smaller players, not harm them. Having just Jita requires players to have perfect skills to even compete, where secondary trade hubs gives more room to compensate for a lack of skills as the profit margins are larger.
Dodi and Hek/Rens were doing better than now when Jita was better connected to Amarr. Simply because Jita is what sustains these hubs and makes it painless and easy to stock them. Make it harder to reach Jita and these hubs will wither away as it becomes impractical to move the goods to these places and obtain the necessary good there that you need to build the things needed in the market.
Well the prices i posted above come from jita, so if you paid 800m for an alpha or small injector that’s your own fault.
Like I’m going to pay 800M for some SP ![]()
That was then and this is now. I hope you realize, the players are making Jita the trade hub and not CCP? If players were to start using any other system and pick a spot, it would quickly have a shift in that direction. The largest mega corps are mostly located in null to the southwest of Jita.
Since there are roughly between 1500 to 2000 players in Jita on any given day, all one would need is to send their crew to another spot to trade for one or two weeks. People will follow the sales. It is up to them where they want to reposition the item mall.
I have no problem getting around the map. This only becomes an issue when you are hauling billion of ISK long distance. Today I hauled 4.5 Billion ISK to Jita in 16 trips. It is much safer that way.
Have fun!
Nothing has changed between then and now for Dodi and Hek in terms of jumps and reach. They are literally the same number of systems away from Jita than before Niarja fell. Yet, they are still worse off because trading outside of Jita suffered due to the removal of Niarja as other places are now less viable in general.
Amarr does not offer any tangible benefit over Jita for the big industry players and exporters from null sec either. Especially since Ahbazon puts the south/east in an extremely favorable proximity to Jita. Ignoring Ahbazon, Amarr and Jita still have the same or a similar number of jump mids from the east/south. With Ahbazon, this idea that low sec splits would make other hubs more relevant for these players and others demonstrates that this does not work. People only go to the best stocked and best sale volume hub and more low sec makes that hub more accessible.
I am more aware of the fact that players create markets and not CCP (anymore) than you are. I keep arguing that players should first setup new markets themselves before they call for CCP crutches to give them an unfair advantage. How that ended is vividly visible with Amarr which has suffered substantially due to Niarja and the industry/scarcity assault. Thank you for supporting that point with your last paragraph. ![]()
That is only possible in theory, not in practice. You are leaving out a whole science called sociology (aka. psychology of the masses) to be able to make that claim.
There is a feature in the game that makes geography completely irrelevant. You just have to know about it and how to use it.
To some of us, 800m is pocket change. I can log on the Stormbringer alts and make that hobby ratting in nullsec.
Sounds exciting…
