I think this is a good Gila fitting for PVE.
Not bad, but you could consider fitting missile launchers instead of the salvagers. You could kill faster and come back later with a salvaging ship.
Also the shield extender rigs are good, but shield purger rigs can be a nice alternative if you want even higher passive regeneration (but less total shield).
True. But I’m used to stay in high sec. The NPCs are weak and I’m too lazy to use a salvaging ship (I always go far away from Jita).
what kind of dps are you getting with the drones?
In most of the situations, thermal.

I’d go with missile launchers too. For salvage, take a tractor unit and some salvage drones. You have the space. Drop the tractor when you start the mission. It won’t be attacked by NPCs. By the time you get done killing stuff, you can put out the salvage drones to finish off whatever is left. Much faster, once you get the hang of it.
