I know mySQL wasn’t the best example now as MariaDB is damned better than mySQL ( I said I was old and retired ). Worked mostly with AIX 4 and 5, Solaris 10 and RHEL with Oracle DB’s in banking (very large environments). Postgres might be viable.

If we were to switch from MS SQL, then Postgres would be at the top of the list.
