No music/sound since last patch

Since deployment of the last patch, I can’t hear any sounds in the game. The char selection screen is already silent and so is the rest of the game. I am running the game on a Win7 x64 machine. The Problem occurs on all accounts. I already tried the following:

  • unchecked/checked the “Audio enabled” checkbox in the audio settings
  • exefile.exe is not muted in the windows mixer
  • tried starting with a fresh new profile (%appdata%\ccp\eve)
  • completely reinstalled the game

Nothing did work so far… All other applications on my system are running without any sound issue. Someone having a hint or is experiencing the same problem?

I’ve had it do it a couple times. In my case, I hit the “windows” key a few times and got sound back when refocused on game. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I have had the same problems as Samuel Moon, and to date nothing I have tried has resulted in a solution.
