That’s really pretty, and quite mesmerising if I may say so?

The asymmetrical geometry and increasing size of the individual elements and their somewhat hinged construction gives the viewer sense of depth, as if peering into the ocean from the back of a large bird circling aimlessly above it.

This effect is enhanced by the waving motion, as if we’re presented with a lazily flapping, disembodied wing.

Overall the image promotes a sense of melancholy. I imagine the bird is lost, far from land having been blown far out to sea following a storm, its tired wings barely keeping it aloft as it gazes sadly at the water below and contemplates its inevitable, moist demise.

Oh well. It’s probably for the best.
