On a regular basis, when players click “Claim” or “Claim All” for their completed AIR Daily Goals, the rewards and Skill Points are not credited (or only partially credited) to their character. The UI indicates the task is complete, but the character’s ISK/EM/SP have only been partially credited. This is a widespread, long-standing bug.
For a new capsuleer who is just starting out on their EVE journey, 10,000 Skill Points and a few million ISK is not a trivial amount; it’s a significant boost that enables them to fly a new ship, train a vital skill, or afford a critical module. The AIR system is one of their first introductions to progression in EVE and when this system fails, it leaves the player with a very bad impression of the game.
Is it possible for the CSM, to formally raise this issue with CCP and advocate for a permanent fix?
This is not an issue of missing taxes, this is an issue of rewards not being applied.
As an example, I completed 4 AIR Daily Goals yesterday. The expected rewards are 4x 500,000 ISK (minus taxes), 4x 500 EverMarks, and 10,000 Skill Points.
What I actually got was 3x 500,000 ISK (minus taxes), 1,000 EverMarks, and no Skill Points.
I was thus missing 500,000 ISK (minus taxes), 1,000 EverMarks, and 10,000 Skill Points.
Yeah, this happens quite frequently and I open a ticket with Support each time, and recently I’ve also started filling out bug reports. CCP recommended I raise this here as well, so I did
For the majority of the issues I’ve had, CCP restored the missing rewards for me after a couple days, but I do remember once or twice where the rewards were just delayed.
If CCP could change the rewards to function like bounties, where they are calculated and distributed every 15 minutes or so (I think), that would work. It would lessen the load on the server, which seems to be the root cause of the issue.
