Just don’t complain when your frigate doesn’t have enough dps or tank to deal with enemies, because that’s often what those bigger ships do better.
Going to paraphrase the brilliant NotABigJerk and say that this is clearly someone with a fetish for being yelled at and I’m not going to participate in such perversion.
Maybe the problem isn’t the cruiser… it’s understanding turret mechanics.
I have an Omen, a Coercer and an Oracle, and I can hit targets just fine. Bigger ships absolutely can hit frigates and other small targets. You just have to manage your range, tracking and transversal properly.
Are you sure you’re staying within your guns’ optimal and falloff ranges? Falloff isn’t a hard “can’t hit” boundary, but once you’re well into it your hit chance drops dramatically. And if you’re trying to hit fast-moving frigates while they’re orbiting close to you, that’s a tracking problem, not a cruiser problem.
Turrets in EVE aren’t simply “bigger ship = bigger gun = automatically hits everything.” You have to fly the ship and manage range/transversal.
Frigates aren’t the only viable ships. If you’re unable to hit anything in a cruiser, I’d be looking at the fit and how you’re engaging the targets before blaming the entire game.
I mean, I’m pretty sure the Nergal can do most PvE EVE has to offer. Not even remotely fast, but it’ll get the job done eventually. I did most of the Syndication epic arc in one back when it was first added, and it genuinely wasn’t as bad as it sounds.
When you dont train them properly, that tends to happen.
Are you the same person that complained about not making enough isk to replace ships you were losing in L2 missions? If you are, then you already know what you need to do.
Unless youre just a glutton for severe punishment or youre challenging yourself for a laugh, then please by all means…keep trying. Your path makes no sense to me, but everybody has their playstyle i guess.

I’ve done most PvE combat sites in a humble Gnosis. 250mm railgun with Spike or Antimatter…you can shoot the enemies before they even come near you. And both Hobgoblins and Hammerhead in case they do ( you can have 5 of each ).
Not sure if really a troll…has a sound of incompetence to it…and iirc there already was a similar thread showing a clear deficit in skilling and mechanics understanding…
I’m not going to take the time to go through their entire post history, but off the cuff it seems every time I see a post by this OP, it’s a whinefest about how the game sucks or how (in their ill-informed opinion) it should be changed/fixed. So either they’re a troll looking for forum engagement, or they’re a noob who can’t take the time to read UniWiki for answers before coming to the forums to vent their frustrations.
Its called giving feedback on the game. Most games do this to learn what to improve about their game so its more fun and enjoyable, and so the developers get more players and more money.
And i think we just told you that you need to improve the skilling of your character, the fitting of your ship, the implant set of your clone and your understanding of game mechanics.
Your feedback would apply to about every game there is in this world. If you don’t want to learn the games specifics, then most likely you will not be successful in playing it.
It’s called making a poor impression, which in this game will get you ignored, alienated, or hunted to oblivion. Try more learning and listening before you charge in with your “feedback.”
also doesnt help that, bigger ships are slower, and stuff like ded combat site escalations and looting npc wrecks requires moving around from wreck to wreck and from gate to gate, which isnt really fun when your in a cruiser that doesnt go that fast, compared to a frigate with a afterburner.
