Oh my god Cruisers suck at hitting anything, its like Frigates are the only ship that actually work

Has it genuinely not occurred to you that this experience is telling you that you’re “doing it wrong” in one or more ways? Does that not seem a more likely conclusion than “cruisers are a scam that can’t hit anything, ever”?

I ask this as a newbie who already learned a useful lesson about cruisers (the hard way, ofc) - I brought one into a T0 Abyssal site just to shake down the initial fit (the same site was trivial in my frigate) and promptly lost it because I hadn’t paid enough attention to the tracking figures.

I have absolutely no issues hitting targets in my Stabber, Rupture or even Vargur marauder. As others have said the issue seems to be either your low skills or your piloting. You really should listen to the advice given to you about proper skill training and learn how to properly use turret weapons.

Not to be a jerk (or an “Eve is perfect, no changes needed ever” apologist) but remember the old saying: It’s a poor carpenter who blames their tools.

They’ve consistently been making threads as new player where they show a refusal to adapt and learn, but think they’re smarter than usual and that the game should adapt to them, because when something is a challenge it’s clearly a mistake by the game.

I doubt it’s a troll, but they seem very much new, stubborn and unwilling to learn.

They even made a second character (@varrra ) to continue doing the exact same stubborn newbie thing, for a reason for me yet unclear. Maybe they thought the first impression they made as @somegirlsarehot was wrong, but it wasn’t because of the character or character name that people react as they do to threads like these.

someone there is clearly too stupid and lazy to learn for eve.

You are simply showing off that you have no idea how to fit a ship. I have cruisers that can do 2700 m/s. Both of the ships I gave fittings for above are also pretty fast. My guess is that you’ve not trained up capacitor skills enough to be able to fit a 50MN microwarp drive.

One of the things to check out is that some ammo has better tracking than others. For example Void and Null have turret tracking of 36.00…whilst antimatter has turret tracking of 48.00. Always carry the highest tracking ammo around, in case you get kited. And in PvP a Stasis Webifier is also useful. I also fit a neut to many of my ships…its hard for someone to kite you if they have no capacitor left.

Ya buddy, sounds like a skill issue, ngl. I run cruisers very often and have no issues hitting small targets.

I dunno instead of using med weapons with high dmg and low tracking, use weapons with lower dps and higher tracking, and use tracking enchancers as well. I can use my legion and pop small targets, so it must be user error on your part

Yeah, some humans are smart, and some humans are really dumb, and dont understand how to do something even when you tell them and show them and they have done it already.

You are doing it wrong.

Keep more distance. Use application support such as Target Painters, Webbers, Tracking Computers and Weapon Systems that excel at hitting small targets. Use most cruisers ability to field a set of Light Drones. Use a cruiser that has application boni on the hull.

Learn the game and all your problems vanish.

Is this a joke thread?

If not – it would help greatly if you posted your fit, so that we could take a look at what could be the cause of you ‘‘not hitting anything’’. I assure you I have no poblems hitting stuff well with my Command ships, let alone with T3Cs, HACs, and other cruiser class hulls. If you’re not hitting stuff, it’s usually the case of wrong range, wrong guns, wrong ammo, no web, and the like.

I’ve only one question: are you grouping your guns (weapons)?

it is useful to group them in pairs

I dont think people are dumb…they just act dumb…big difference.

If youre playing this game and doing that type content the best you can… then you have the capability to play this game to its fullest extent. If this isnt just a attention whore or a troll thread then help us help you.

Post your fits…train some skills, move to bigger ships and stop worrying about isk right now. Work your progression up like it supposed to be done…and the rest will fall into place.

Bigger isn’t always better. Or more specifically in your (this) case, if you have trouble hitting smaller targets try one, or more, of the following:

  • Utilize Webifiers to slow down your target.
  • Utilize Target Painter to bloom the Signature of your target.
  • Try use a flight (up to 5) Light Drones to deal with the frigates.
  • Fit Tracking Computer(s)/Enhancer to increase your guns tracking speed.

I am probably not the right person to be giving feedback about affordability because i have a poverty mindset where, i might be rich, but i still think poor.

I will get alot of money through playing for a few days, a combat anomaly here, a faction spawn there, a DED 3 escalation there,

then i will send all that money to my alt and go back to zero ISK and a frigate

Should probably get financial feedback from a guy that actually keeps and uses his money and doesnt feel poor and become poor even when hes rich
