Oh my god Cruisers suck at hitting anything, its like Frigates are the only ship that actually work

Actually, now it makes alot of sense why people say stuff like Cruisers are cheap and normal for Level 2 security missions

I also had the money, but i keep sending it away to my alt

@Gerard_Amatin We have solved the puzzle of why im so poor! check above 2-3 messages

You mean like in Resident Evil, where you accumulate all the stuff and try to never use it until you figured out you had already reached 98% of the game?

EVE isn’t like that. There is not endgame like that. You usually reinvest your isk to be able to make more isk. And you don’t reinvest all, but what you can afford while also expecting a ship loss or two.

Sending ISK to an alt to hold on to is not necessarily a bad idea, I do the same.

It’s a good way to keep track of your funds, and to prevent accidental spending on overpriced ships in the market on your other characters.

But I don’t pretend this ISK doesn’t exist, and most importantly I don’t send all of my ISK away.

Generally I like to keep on to 500m in my character’s wallets, sending any extras to my ‘wallet alt’ or sending ISK back to my other characters if their funds are low.

For me 500m is enough to quickly buy stuff I need, like a well fit cruiser or stock up on jump fuel. But I also don’t mind sending more money to my other characters if 500m doesn’t cut it for the ship I’m about to buy.

After all, if spending more ISK means I also get to earn ISK faster it’s not a bad buy! (If you manage to keep the ship alive). Recently I bought a couple of ships for 2.5b each and they’ve already earned that ISK back, and improved my ISK income a lot.

In your case I too would start using the ISK you earned to get some upgrades. You don’t need to immediately buy ‘bling’ faction and complex modules, but having better T2 upgrades and T2 ships can pay back fast. T2 ships are a lot more effective at their jobs and not even that much more expensive if you earn more ISK because of them.

So, stop sending all your ISK to your alt and only send ISK above a certain price point (like above 100m) as a backup, and feel free to spend the rest on upgrades that help you get ISK faster.

Or if that’s hard, stop sending ISK to your alt at all so you have a better view of how much ISK you have available to buy upgrades.

After all, ISK in your wallet isn’t helping you if you’re flying a cheap T1 frigate you could afford a hundred times over to earn peanuts when you could earn more in a cruiser or in a T2 frigate.

I’ve played so many games with all the special consumables in my inventory “in case I needed it” and never used at the end. A waste of consumables!

Couldn’t resist.

Tornados can alpha things like frigates from hundreds of kilometers. Best if frigate moves directly to or from you in a straight line or sits immobile with zero speed like on undock. NPCs are stupidly going to you in a straight line.

I do likewise…but on top of that I also transfer to Jita all the hundreds of unused modules I have from alts all over space. It’s amazing how much ‘junk’ accumulates. Only when I moved it all to Jita could I see that it was 600 items worth over 2 billion ISK. Amazingly it included stuff like 28 T2 inertial stabilisers, loads of T2 shield extenders, etc, etc. All stuff that had been dumped in stations when I changed fittings.

And the best bit is…when I set up a brand new ship recently, half the parts I needed were already there at JIta and didn’t need buying.

It seems they cannot, for some weird reason…

I think different, it’s clear he ignores the model and tries to enforce his idea of how it should be.

The way I understand, small hits all for less and large hit less more. If you play PvE it’s clear, but since resists got nerfed (only for players) the differences may cause some discomfort.

I’m not agreeing with him, but there’s a reason Gila is so OP. My opinion, the game needs an overhaul for good, but I don’t start posts trying to enforce my view without considering the entire picture.

He’s not a troll, he just has his own agenda. Not quite wrong for a forum, it’s a place to discuss ideas, even the wrong ones.

Edit: Maybe I need to elaborate more on the “discomfort”, since PvE was not much affected by changes a that affect players, the “speed” tanking may be compromised by tracking speed. Now it’s clear why I keep pressing the button resists nerf, yesterday I thought a little about it, I even contemplated how FC decided to “fix” their stupidity telling you HOW to play, aka ship role (sorry I wrote wrong on the other post) bonus. Which only makes the game worse to be honest.

To finish this edit, that’s the reason I pointed out Gila. which FCCP also made drones very aggressive in a tentative to “balance” things.

Their stupidity is beyond any reasoning, at least in PvE, they must be doing something right regarding PvP.

Since PvP is not about exploring fits, just winning, I guess people are happy, good for them. But this kind of posts will never end, PvE is garbage, it’s only a matter of time. EVE PvE is rush and profit, not a thing to be enjoyed.

End of edit, I think it may clear my entire post.

A lot of people have this or that idea of how EVE ‘ought’ to be…but its usually based on not being able to cope with how EVE actually is. That is also the source of 90% of the arguments about EVE.

I’m not sure what word to use…happiest, most contended, most ‘successful’…but the people who play the game the way it actually is rather than keep moping about what ‘ought’ to be are all those who’ve done best in EVE.

I see that with a twist. EVE may “be as it actually is”, but also no one forces you to stay the way you are and repeat actions in the exact same way that lead you to an unwanted result.

There are usually more than 2 ways to pursue a certain wanted outcome in EVE, if not 8-10 ways or more.

If someone comes to the forums and wants the game changed, then he/she has usually fell into a knowledge or creativity gap to not understand how to approach a problem differently.

For me at least then the forums people usually give hints into what actions to explore or learn about, if you can’t figure it out on your own. To come up with different approaches and solutions will take a lot of experience in EVE. Your brain will then slowly connect the dots and you wake up the next day and suddenly have a new idea that works out greater than ever before and that you could have ever imagined.

Then you are succesful and pissed at the same time, because you hadn’t thought or tried it earlier.

But to achieve that, you have to stay open minded and see the things as a challenge to overcome. Because if you overcame and mastered it, then you have an advantage about your rival players who can’t overcome it and remain prey to their uncreative strategies or ragequits.

I agree so much, a simple emote wouldn’t do it.

Now we just need to PIN this in the first post READ HERE and most of the discussions will be fixed before start.

A side effect may be the player base also will, well be fixed. kewk.

But being honest about the game is a huge step forward, it’s better than throwing “rocks” at each other on forums.

I also understood that, and realized I don’t like the “winning” way. It’s so simple to accept that and move on, people are so attached to “I must win using my way”. It’s kinda childish to be honest.

EVE is working as intended, deal with it.

People are dealing with it by playing other games.

Pretty much :+1:

The above don’t care though they think the world revolves around them and that their accounts are what keep the game running.

When/if the game shuts down they will only have themselves to blame
