Omega skill queue

i just upgraded to omega and i see a difference in how the skill queue works compared to say 2013
when last time i played subbed u could add your last skill to the queue within 24hrs and that was it, u couldnt queue for a couple of months what is possible now and that is helpful. only limit is up 50 skills

when exactly was this changed? and what do u guys think of this?

That’s been changed for quite some time. Actually years. Many many years. I think it’s been beneficial, since it means you can set a long queue and not worry about it, in the event you don’t play every day.

There are people who say that this allowed some to login less often thus decreasing PCU. One of reasons why we have “less players” and why it is not as bad as it seems.

Other than that it is convenient. I was new player when it hit and i liked it.

As an additional detail that is how it works for alpha characters now, you can have at most 24 hours worth of skills in queue + one last skill that can go beyond.

what u describe is the way it worked before this change, actually what i said in my first post but in other words. omega has it better

are there any more convenient nuances im not aware of regarding the skill queue?

You can now extract and inject (with diminishing returns) skills. That capability was added some time after the queue change. Having played under both systems, the best feature of the longer queue is the ability to plan the training you need for a particular objective and add the entire skill plan to your queue.

I started playing before the skill queue change and yeah, it’s definitely more convenient for those who don’t log in often and the change actually reduces the chance of lost skill training time when a level is completed.

Back then I use to log into the game almost all the time and even then when training a high skill level, it was easy to miss when one completed which created dead time with no skill in queue.

Sure, the change gave less need to log into the game just to check skill training, but it definitely helped insure that character’s continued skill training with no interruption, which was definitely a good change, not only for the in-game character but also for the out-game character as well.

I think it was even a dev who stated that at some point in the past. Probably the reason they experiment with “dailies” and login rewards since.
