Because CCP changed the watch list into a buddy list where both characters have to buddy list each other so that the online status shows up.
Just a minor inconvenience. However, you can now use it as additional standing tag for very important enemy things. I, for instance, use it to mark special titan pilots or special PVP hungry nerds when I hunt space so that I don’t needlessly waste my time on a bait or that I warp to a gate ping rather than directly to the gate to avoid boson titans when I see red dots.
thanks. that would be the reason. been away a long time. didn’t know they would take away that part of the game though.
