Open Letter to CCP

You should learn before you teach. My grade four teacher would have given me a smack with her ruler for writing that sentence.

Mr Epeen :sunglasses:

From my point of view, what Eve is suffering from is that it is too much sandbox.

Makes solid starter level skills so that a new player can freely explore many areas of the game (PvP, Mining, PvE, Scanning, Production, and so on) rather than waiting months for something to fulfill.

Gives free ships and maybe the resources for all these areas to try out freely, so beginners will have less fear and frustration if they lose something.

Makes Eve less hardcore, that you are assigned to multiple accounts for almost everything.

Makes Eve less scalable.
Yes, you will surely lose a lot of SP-Farma accounts and also a lot of Multiboxers.

But maybe more players who are not masochistic or sadistic will start playing.

At the moment Eve is like a pool of sharks, botters, scammers and victims, with the latter becoming fewer. So like real life. Only people don’t play the game to live a second shitty life.
Think about it.

PS: Maybe the only difference to the RL is that with intelligence and some starting capital you can exist well. But this is not the basic rule for all players and I could give up some of my wealth if it is good for the others. Whereby I might be an exception, because the more a player has the stingier he becomes and defends with all means his lead over the others.

The supply of perma-victims seems never ending.

Sure, just as people are born and die. Only apparently none of the victims really wants to stay longer. Otherwise we would have more players.

Highsec seems pretty full as it is. Your argument that there could be more . . . Yeah, maybe - I can’t see how anybody can argue with such a squishy statement.

EVE has always been a niche game, seems CCP wants to keep it that way. That’s OK by me…

Honestly, sometimes I don’t believe that they are all real players, when I know how many are sitting at the main traiding stations, how many are in null and wormholes. It seems to me as if someone is pretending to have a well filled game.

Not to mean or put you down, but your just figuring this out? I used to be innocent too…

OP, You put some work into writing all that, but it is highly unlikely CCP et al. will ever read it much less do as you wish.

If you start suicide ganking these guys you will realize that they are real players. If you prick them, they will cry

I’m going to have to take your word on this. Of all the ppl who post, I would like to see you on the CSM. I think you could do more damage than Archer.

Somebody said something like: “The people who want to be on the CSM definitely aren’t the sort of people that should be on the CSM.”

To me, being on the CSM sounds like a horrendous amount of work, with nobody really thanking you. It sounds like a job, actually, with no pay.

So, aside from the fact I would assuredly lose any sort of election process, I wouldn’t want the job.

Besides, I like Eve just the way it is.

Be careful, or ppl will start writing you in anyway.

Komi can be my VP.

That would be a good team!

I need a forum alt called Commercial Break.

No they don’t nerf my playstile.
Read my post i explain : i just want CCP to act more professionally and stop loose player for a lot of reasons who i explain in the post: and some are not linked directly to game design like communication and project management.
So yes if you think you make a cool answer by saying that. Nice for you, but you are totally not in the subject of this post sorry.

Its wierd though that you arent attempting to contact them in a professional manner, you know, by letter or email as directly to them as possible.

Just sayin.

Already did in reality. It’s litterally on the top of the post.
But why “open letter”, so they can’t said " no one said it to us". It’s public.

By now CCP is like:
