Could be said about Mr. Nauplius as well, at least I heard it from somebody.
And CODE might be inconsequential moron cultists, but they still commit crimes, attack ships, murder people.
Average null security power doesn’t call people to “Burn Jita”.
And Goons/CODE do the same but with a multitude of people instead of just one individual. How many there are former Imperial subjects, who betrayed the Faith and started worshipping James or Mittani, or believe they came from Eartch… or how is it spelled?
I believe Diana’s point is that ‘most’ null powers don’t do it.
Which, of course, ignores the fact that prior to YC 119, most of the large null blocs did get involved on an informal level, and that nobody who isn’t flying as part of a capsuleer’s crew is at any risk, unlike Nauplius’ stated intention to kill billions of civilians, including children. Considering earlier estimates of baseliner freighter crew sizes (~700 people), and that capsuleer crews on larger hulls run to 50% of baseliner ships as a generous estimate, in order to match that, we’d need to kill 15,000,000 freighters to match a 5-billion casualty planetary genocide.
Just in case it needs saying… We haven’t killed that many freighters. We also don’t worship Mittens. He’s just a guy, as prone to screwing up as any other.
These goons are disgusting.
If the question would stand to choose between killing 700 people and couple billions, yes, anyone sane would kill 700. But, damn… when they try to justify murder of 700 people only COMPARING it to murdering of billions, that’s… just sick.
It seems that according to goon “ethics” if a serial killer murdered ten victims, it’s totally fine to murder nine. Maybe because everyone will be pointing finger on that murderer and “ignore” goons?
Everyone watches Nauplius - Goons keep killing. Everyone yell at Nauplius - Goons keep murdering. Everyone are judging Nauplius - Goons just commit the same crimes they were doing.
