Other Player’s Ships’ Graphics ‘Bounce’ or ‘Wobble’

So, I’ve been playing for a long time, but not to adept at the forum. If there is a better place to post this, please let me know.

I have been experiencing some strange graphical behavior and it now appears to extend to all other player ships, drones and fighters in space. It does not seem to affect stations, npcs, or my ships.

When I am looking at another ship, the model seems to wobble or shake or bounce. It is only slightly, but it is very clearly happening. I don’t think that the model is moving, per se, but the various edges seem like they are bouncing up and down. On drones this seems to produce a visual thinning/thickening kind of perspective.

I’ve tried all the various graphical settings and nothing seems to change this. I play with all settings on max, windowed across two monitors, 1 client. But if I drop it all down to minimum, even the boring models still seem to bounce like before.

I’d love to know if anyone else has heard of this before, and if there are any suggested steps to resolution, besides the obvious update to graphics drivers.

Thanks!

Assuming this isn’t the camera bounce or dynamic camera settings? I would upgrade your graphics drivers and if it still persists try selecting DirectX 11 instead (this seems to be solving some issues on older graphics cards).

Hey, so I think it has to do with when I right click and look at a ship or drone specifically. So maybe related to the camera. What would you suggest to explore a potential camera related issue?

ESC, choose Camera - and start by turning all the checkboxes off. You can also look at moving the sliders all to the center (default).

I’ve seen other objects in space wobble like that, but only if they’re really far away, like near the other edge of the grid.
