Overview NAME and TYPE columns

NAME and TYPE columns often have same-ish values. Often duplicating.
This creates problem when you want your overview be as compact as possible to free the screen space.
In my example the TYPE column shouldn’t contain “Autothysian Lancer” as it’s already in NAME column.

Same problem exists and with many other entities - please, re-visit it. It doesn’t need no “new code” nor any other code lines - just edit the values in database. Zero pro-dev mindwork is required!

Thanks! Peace!

Just remove one of them.

You can choose which colums to show in the overview settings.

Hmm. It seems, I need to clarify it a bit deeper.

You need two columns if you’re doing PVP. And when you see other players in overview, their names and ship types are easily recognized.

But when you see some other non-player entities (ships, acceleration gates etc..) - this is when duplication “hovers” your consciousness.

This is the little thing and probably nothing bad will happen if it remains, but why not just we address it especially if the cost is affordable (I’m assuming).

pvp has its own category and pve has its own category… i don’t show npcs under my pvp column.

If you wish to see both NPCs and players in a single overview tab you’ll need a consistent list of columns so you cannot have the column active for players and also hide it for NPCs in the same tab.

But maybe you can change your selection of colums between different overview windows. Maybe even between tabs. Have you tried that yet?
