Pacifier?

I was at my production hub on one of my characters, and remember I have a single run Pacifier blueprint. Looking online, the market value is 460+ million ISK.

In the past, I had a Leopard shuttle suicide ganked while traveling to and from Jita without even any loot in my hold, as I was going there to update market orders and wanted a quick trip. I know better than to haul nothing exceeding 50mil in anything easy to pop. Research indicated I was likely Thrasher ganked because the person just wanted to pop a ship worth 220mil for laughs.

I imagine the Pacifier isn’t very tanky, and as such, is a high value target for suicide ganks just as the Leopard is. Is the Pacifier still a good ship for wandering the galaxy looking for hacking sites to run, or too much of a risk to fly?

Can be compared to a sports car. Just for ego boost but not practical.

Pacifier can’t get sub 2 seconds so for travelling around it’s not that special other than sheer warp speed, but it CAN fit a nullifier. Either get an Astero which very easily can be sub 2 seconds but can’t fit a nullifier. Or get a Helios or Anathema, they’re sub 3 seconds but CAN fit a nullifier.

Nullifier biggest use is null travel, as you’re more likely to encounter bubbles there. So Astero for mostly WH travel, Helios or Anathema for mostly Null travel. Difference between the two is that the Helios is better at cloaked speed (so to get away from trouble) and the Anathema is better at scanning.

Pacifier is a silly ship other than “look at me”.

Pacifier is covops, agile (sub 3s) and can be nullified.

And with the massive warp speed it’s a nice tool to warp around quick, if a bit more expensive than interceptors or T2 explorers.

its over priced as an explorer, as an assassin it’s ok, not worth 400+ million though, thats just because whichever Fat dude controls the manufacturing of them or the mission runner or however they get them has decided thus is the Price of my soother.

Leopard eradication society is a thing, there also used to be this legend Ormara Muutaras | Character | zKillboard Albeit, Leopard kills become more sparse because the success is pretty much what kills these elite hunters. Leopard is just wrong choice for everything other than playing travel on hard mode, because everyone wants a piece of you.

Pacifier on the other hand is different. It is actually nice pvp ship so there is some demand, and at same time it’s slow af to generate the blueprints (same for Marshall and why the hull alone is 9b). Project discovery just does not scale at all with anything other than your raw time - can’t click it faster if you have more alts, you can just do more of it with more accounts, but it’s boring af.

Pacifiers make one of the best fast cyno boats, the extra highslots make it very versatile and save a lot of refitting between roles.

But they are more expensive than covops, and for exploration I’d use an anathema or helios tbh.
