PC Mobo/CPU x99dual E5 2680V4 vs Prime X670 with Ryzen7 7800x3d

Hi!

basically I have access to 2 mobo/cpus

  • Dual X99 Mobo with dual E5 2680V4
  • Prime X670 with AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D

GPU is an Nvidia 4070 TI super. I have 128GB ram and a NVRAM SSD.

Beside runnign Eve I do not do any heavy lifting on this PC, only browsing and stuff.

So , Eve only, which mobo/cpu will work better?

I heard Eve is CPU based heavy and if I check on monero page:

2 x RandomX Benchmark - XMRig

looks like dual Xenon will win…

Both are overkill. For gaming the X3D is going to be the better processor. If you plan on multiboxing silly amounts of accounts then the Xeon will be better but that’s going to be a stretch.
