My experience with the company and the game, before and after hiatus, have been mostly good. GM Team and customer service have been outstanding in my experience. Whatever brief interactions I had with devs were positive. I think this is a likeable crew of talented people, and I think they should be proud.
But I’m out.

Pearl Abyss Sold CCP to cover its’ losses that were not generated by CCP. CCPs’ revenue has just about doubled since 2018. Pearl Abyss otoh has lost more money on other projects unrelated to CCP, and Pearl has been transferring losses to their shareholders. The CCP sale replenishes Pearl’s cash position and strengthens its core business reserves. Pearl managed to stop losing money pretty much in the last quarter of 2025.
…and Google just invested in the new Fenris so Hilmar & Co. are just fine. Google is going to run an offline Eve Online instance and let Deepmind experiment with creating new player experiences and increasing Fenris revenue.

Anyone defending Pearl Abyss is a Whale 100%. I know what they are plenty of reputable companies that could own eve online and PA is not a good company. I have been here for 20 years. This game was very different before pearl abyss greed machine.
Well now this PA whale is telling you, go ahead and find someone else to blame… oh wait! CCP fell into bed with Google Deepmind and renamed to Fenris. I guess you can blame Google Deepmind now instead.

Looks like Google is that stupid. What a difference a day makes. Not that I am very paranoid, but knowing how Google puts telemetry on everything, I might have to beef up my security here. VPN might not be enough. I sure don’t need some stalker tracking me down through Google code just because I blew them up in some online PvP game.
