Not yet. He means CCP is a fad jumper, like VR and Crypto.
VR I was fine with (even though I missed out). Larger companies (Meta, Apple) have certainly failed on a much larger scale, so I can’t really fault CCP there. Crypto is another bag of snakes entirely…
Why fads? You know that Hilmar is pretty active with crypto and blockchain, right? Vanguards sounds more like a passion project, than a fad.
Be that as it may, I’m not sure another FPS is still viable. But hey - not necessarily my thing, either.
The CCP PoV is not that they are going to make another OMG FPS. Everybody knows there’s a lot of FPS.
They trying to expand the IP. But it’s beyond my comprehension why it’s always FPS and not strategy / tactical.
But I gave up trying to understand how they think.
I’m kidding, they always go with FPS because it’s the easier one, specially if using UE.

At the very least, everything you’ve ever typed in chat or sent in a mail is going to be scraped.
So we’re now training data for Google’s AIs and we’re paying for the privilege.
So Hilmar has changed the name and structure of the company ( surely not to shirk any debts or responsibilities ), while making you pay to train AI. What a surprise. Oh well, at least one CCP has finally died in the world.
So does this mean bot aspirant behavior is now the corporate identity of EVE and its owner corp?

Hard to resist that sweet, sweet AI cash… Even if the whole thing is a massive scam.
Google’s DeepMind was trained on multiple video games. Sounds like it could solve many issues CCP is strugling with, especially with identifying bots.
Can’t wait for all the legit players banned because AI said they’re “botting”. After all, AI replacing moderation in other mmos has just been so successful with banning the “bad guys”. lol.

And now I understood the meta… I was happier being ignorant.
So they gonna do what Triglavians did, but now they gonna swear it’s PvP.
I gotta give it to them, at least it’s smart.
Maybe players will have the opportunity to purchase mining and other types of permits from the AI NPCs.
